Your Itinerary In Detail —

Day 1: San José (30 minutes)

Welcome to Costa Rica! A local representative will meet and assist you at SJO airport for your shared transfer to your hotel in San José.

 

Accommodation in San José.

 

Day 2: San José - Arenal (3.5 hours drive) (breakfast)

Enjoy your included breakfast at the hotel.

 

At the agreed time, meet the car rental representative at the hotel reception to collect your car and all the necessary information needed for your trip.

 

Now it's time to start your adventure on the road! Drive yourself to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the magnificent Arenal volcano. Before December 2010, the Arenal volcano was one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world, and was a truly majestic sight, as it spewed molten rock and ash from its summit on a daily basis.

 

Today, there are no lava eruptions, but you can still see smoke/ash coming from the top of the volcano.

 

On arrival, make yourself comfortable in your hotel room and relax!

Day 3: Arenal (breakfast)

Enjoy your complimentary breakfast at the hotel and then get ready for a new adventure.

 

At the agreed time, visit the Mistico Park and discover the beautiful suspension bridges. These are suspension bridges and platforms built in the forest that offer you the opportunity to explore nature in a safe and easy way.

 

You will enjoy a guided walk through the fascinating and colourful rainforest. You can't forget the breathtaking views of the Arenal volcano from the suspension bridges.

Day 4: Arenal - Monteverde (3-hour drive)

Enjoy your included breakfast at the hotel before departing.

 

At the agreed time, depart for your next destination: the mystical Monteverde Cloud Forest.

 

This place is a real paradise for nature lovers, with a wonderful diversity of fauna and dense vegetation.

After your breakfast, continue to Sámara for your beach stay.

You will return the rental car to the hotel around 3pm.

Shared transfer to the city of San José for the last day in Costa Rica.
