The Hilton Barbados Resort provides guests with stunning accommodation just a five minute drive from the historic city of Bridgetown. This family-focused resort finds itself perfectly positioned along two sandy beaches complete with sun loungers, hammocks, snorkelling opportunities, and boogie boards. Relax among tranquil surroundings at the hotel's large infinity swimming pool complex.

Entry Requirements 

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you do not need a visa to enter Barbados. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the Foreign Ministry and if necessary, confirm with the Barbados Embassy. 

If you choose a flight which routes via the USA and are travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP), you must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) prior to departure. Passengers who have not received travel authorisation via ESTA prior to travel will be denied boarding. Please note that if you are denied from boarding or are not allowed into the US for any reason, you will still be subject to our cancellation charges in accordance with our terms and conditions.  
 
How do I apply for ESTA?  
Prior to departure, you will need to visit https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov and fill in the online application, ensuring you receive approval before you fly. 

Departure Tax

A departure tax of BDS$55 (US$27.50) applies for all passengers over 2 years old leaving Barbados. From 1 October 2018, an additional fee will be added. Passengers flying outside of the Caribbean region will pay US$70 per person, and those flying within the Caribbean will pay US$35 per person. Most airlines include the cost within the ticket price. If in doubt, you should check with your airline or tour operator.


Health

There are increased levels of dengue cases in 2019. Please be sure to check all health advice on the following link before travelling, paying particular attention to the 'Other Risks' section. This advice is subject to change. 

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately. 

UK health authorities have classified Barbados as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For more information and advice, visit the website of the National Travel Health Network and Centre website.

Cases of Chikungunya virus have been confirmed in Barbados. You should take steps to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance. 

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the UK Government is currently requesting that all travellers returning to the UK, (with exceptions), must provide their journey and contact details up to 48 hours before arrival, and self-isolate at home for 14 days. These restrictions will be reviewed every three weeks. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel, and this advice is also being kept under constant review. Please note that this information is constantly being reviewed and may be subject to change.

All travellers must bring a negative PCR test (no more than 72 hours old on arrival) and an immigration form (filled out 72 hours before their arrival - https://www.travelform.gov.bb/home). If visitors don’t bring a PCR test, they will be required to take one at the airport and a new one 5/6 days after.

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.
