While Bath's planned Christmas market is not going ahead this year, a scaled-down Christmas event will still take place. With spectacular Christmas lights, decorations and entertainment, there will still be plenty to enjoy in the streets of this charming city over the festive season. Located in the heart of Bath, the Apex is just a short walk from the Roman Baths and the main shopping areas. Guests can start the day with a delicious breakfast, while facilities include a gym, pool, bar and restaurant.

5. Copenhagen Christmas Market - Skt Petri 5*

Voted Lonely Planet's 'Top City to Visit in 2019', Copenhagen is a treat at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas.
