Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE - MABAMBA SWAMP - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, depart for Mabamba Wetland, and upon arrival, board wooden motorised boats to explore the swamp in search of the iconic Shoebill, alongside over 260 bird species. Keep an eye out for Sitatunga antelopes and various wetland species as you glide through the papyrus channels. Next, we will head to Lake Mburo National Park, stopping at the Equator for lunch and photos. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, where you can expect sightings of zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and an array of birds including the Lilac-breasted Roller, African Grey Hornbill, and several species of vultures.

DAY 3: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
After an early morning snack, head out for a cruise in search of the elusive African Finfoot, along with other birdlife such as the Black Crake, Rufous-bellied Heron, White-backed Night Heron, various kingfishers, weavers, and the African Fish Eagle. Expect sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and buffalo along the water’s edge. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast, before departing for Bwindi National Park - a scenic 5 to 6 hour drive through rolling hills, banana plantations, and rural Ugandan landscapes. Stop in Kabale for lunch, snacks, and coffee while taking in the terraced hills of Kigezi. Arrive in the evening at your hotel for check in and some time to relax.

DAY 4: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Wake early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters. After a traditional welcome and ranger briefing, begin your trek in search of the Eastern Mountain Gorillas. The trek can take 2–3 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, and once found, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge in the afternoon and relax after an exciting morning or choose an optional activity, such as a visit to the Batwa community or joining a local coffee tour.
