The Tunisian Mirage: 2-day excursion to the Sahara from Djerba —
Embark on an unforgettable 2-day adventure in the heart of the Tunisian desert. This experience will introduce you to Berber villages, breathtaking landscapes and a night under the stars in Ksar Ghilane in a traditional camp.
The camp is called EcoPark El Biben and is located in a peaceful setting in Ksar Ghilane, just a few minutes' walk from a natural hot spring where you can bathe for free. Nearby, you will also find quad biking activities (to be paid for on site) and superb walks on the dunes.
Accommodation is in a private Berber tent with shared single-sex bathrooms nearby, or in a classic private room with a private bathroom (subject to availability). Sheets and blankets are provided.
Traditional entertainment (depending on attendance) and a typical dinner are included to make your evening under the stars an unforgettable experience.
Day 1 —
Departure for the Tunisian desert: Chahbania Salt Lake - Tataouine - Chenini - Ksar Ghilane
In the morning, you will set off in small groups in 4x4s to the Chahbania Salt Lake, where you will stop for photos before continuing on to the town of Tataouine. You will then discover the magnificent Berber village of Chenini, which hangs from the cliffs, before enjoying a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, head for the sandy tracks of the Reg to Ksar Ghilane, a veritable oasis in the middle of the desert, known for its hot springs. You will settle into the camp and enjoy dinner (excluding drinks) accompanied by a Bedouin evening (depending on the season) and a night under the stars.

Day 2 —
Tamezret - Matmata - Toujane - Return to Djerba
After breakfast at the camp, head to the charming mountain village of Tamezret, then the famous cave dwellings of Matmata. You will have the opportunity to meet the local population and share a traditional lunch (excluding drinks).
Before returning to Djerba, a final stop will offer you a superb panoramic view from the village of Toujane. Return to your hotel in Djerba with memories of your desert adventure.

The departure for the desert is organised according to several factors, including weather conditions and customer requirements. Upon arrival in Djerba, a local representative will contact customers to provide them with all the necessary information and set the departure date according to the length of their stay.
