Kanchanaburi
Both rivers flow down from great lakes in the mountainous Burma border region. The two Kwais join in a confluence at the attractive town Kanchanaburi. They then form the Mae Khlong River that flows into the Gulf of Thailand at the bustling, colourful fishing port of Samut Songkhram.
Krabi
Krabi has something for everyone, including adrenaline rush seekers who will enjoy the challenging Rai Lay Bay cliff climbing, peaking at 400 feet above sea level. There’s also sea kayaking through the caves and lagoons—blessed with wonderful stalactites and stalagmites—or elephant trekking through the forest.

The Grand Palais Royal, with its collection of pavilions and gold and its golden spires, is an architectural masterpiece. Inside the Royal Chapel enthroned the Emerald Buddha, which was carved from a single piece of jade. Used as a royal residence from the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century, it is undoubtedly a national reference and Thailand's most visited royal monument.
To end the visit, we take you to a gemstone factory where you can crack for jewels, crafts and silk at competitive prices.
Note: Parts of the Royal Grand Palace and / or Wat Phra Kaew may be closed during special royal or Buddhist ceremonies and during visits by foreign heads of state.
Start your day at the famous floating market "Damnern Saduak", located about 100 km southwest of Bangkok. On the way to the floating market, visit a coconut sugar production farm. There are countless floating markets all over the country, including several hours away from the capital. Merchants dressed in bright colours on these bustling markets paddle along busy canoes in sturdy canoes laden with fresh fruits and vegetables for sale to shore buyers. There is a lot of chatter and activity - negotiation is common. You will visit the bustling market early in the morning. It's a fun way to see local life and go on a bargain hunt.
