Your Itinerary

Day 1: UK/Bangkok  
Departure from the airport of the selected city.  

Day 2: Bangkok
Welcome to Thailand! Reception by local representatives upon your arrival at Bangkok. Your driver awaits you at the Meeting Point located at Gate B. Transfer to your hotel in the Old City of Bangkok. The end of the day is free at your convenience. 

Overnight at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham or Bangkok Menam Riverside Hotel, in Deluxe Room. Included: Breakfast  

Day 3: Bangkok  
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you will join your driver. Together you will decide on the program of the day. They will advise you on the best way to discover Bangkok. Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Overnight at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham or Bangkok Menam Riverside Hotel, in Deluxe Room. Included: Breakfast  

Day 4: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Uthai Thani – Phitsanulok   
Departure to Ayutthaya (about 2 hours drive) after breakfast. Also, take the time to discover its particularly interesting cultural centre as well as the famous temples of Wat Phananchoeng & What Yai Chat Mongkol.  Continue to Phitsanuloke. We advise you to stop en route for a lunch break in a local restaurant in Uthai Thani (not included).  Phitsanulok is one of the largest cities in Thailand, an obligatory passage for many visitors because here is the most beautiful statue of Buddha, the "Buddha Chinnarat". Installation at your hotel after the visit. If the city is quiet during the day, it comes alive in the evening around the Grand Night Bazaar. Enjoy this attractive place to discover the joys of street food.  

Night at the hotel Pattara Resort and Spa Phitsanuloke, in the superior room. Included: Breakfast. 

Day 5: Phitsanulok – Chiang Mai  
Free morning at Phitsanuloke Before you leave for Chiang Mai. Departure at 12.30 from your hotel for transfer to the station. Embarking on the train to Chiang Mai, Thailand's second largest city is located in the north of the country. When you arrive, transfer to your hotel for the check-in. Ideally located close to the centre of the city, it is the ideal starting point for a dinner in the dizzying ambience of Chiang Mai.  

Overnight at the Rim Hotel Resort Chiang Mai, in the Supreme Deluxe room.  Included: Breakfast. 
Day 6: Chiang Mai  
Breakfast at the hotel then is free to discover the city of Chiang Mai. Or following excursions as an option:  ½ Thai Day Elephant Care Center or a full day discovering Chiang Mai by bike.

Overnight at the Rim Hotel Resort Chiang Mai, in the Supreme Deluxe room.  Included: Breakfast.

Day 7: Chiang Mai – Mae Sai Border – Tachileik – Heho – Inle Lake  
This is your last day in Thailand. The transfer to the Chiang Rai border post will be at 07:00 after your breakfast. It is by the road that you enter Burmese territory by the post of Tachileik. Welcome to Myanmar or Burma. Transfer to the airport and flight to Heho (1hour) On arrival your driver is waiting for you to transfer to your hotel near the Inle Lake (Lac Inle).   Late afternoon and free dinner  

Night at the hotel Thanakha, in a Deluxe room.  Included: Breakfast.   

Day 8: Inle Lake
Immersion in the wilderness for this day. It is on a private motorboat that you embark on this day which will undoubtedly remain one of the highlights of your trip. There are landscapes and unique moments available to you. The floating gardens, the fishermen who paddle with their legs to keep hands free to handle the nacelle and the spade, a meeting around a cup of tea with the Intha, a visit to a traditional market. Back to the hotel at the end of the day.

Day 9: Inle Lake – Kalaw 
Departure for Kalaw. In the early afternoon. Installation on your hotel. For early risers, we offer the activity below before you leave for Kalaw. Optional and with extra charge: rate €34 per person (net) the cooking lesson of Mrs. Sue an introduction to local cuisine orchestrated by a personality of the region. In the afternoon, on the road to Kalaw, you will visit the old teak Wood Monastery Shwe Yan Pyay. Unique in its kind, with its oval windows and its factory.

Night at the Kalaw Heritage in the Superior Garden View room. Included: Breakfast.

Day 10: Kalaw – Pamela-Roxy 
Depart in the morning for Bagan, the road is long (more than 5 hours) but the landscapes crossed are majestic. A stop is planned in Mount Popa. It is an important place in the life of the Burmese because it is here that the 37 were born "nats": the protective spirits. Indeed, it is a lunch at home that awaits you. A family welcomes you to share with you their home and lunch. No doubt, the delicious smells of curry will accompany the unforgettable smile of your guests for a very long time. Continue to Bagan to arrive at your hotel at the end of the day, just in time to witness a beautiful sunset.

Day 11: Bagan 
Free day at your convenience. Discover the city of Bagan and its region. A tour of the city complete with an experienced guide in private car. You will visit the most famous temples in the area. The day begins with a unique view across the region. From here, your guide brings you to the discovery of the temples.
 
Around 4pm, it is in a horse-drawn carriage that you will reach an isolated place to watch the unique sunset show on the valley.

Day 12: Bagan-Rangoon
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day until the time of your transfer to the airport and flight to Yangon or Rangoon. On arrival, reception by your driver and private transfer to your hotel.

Day 13: Rangoon – Hanoi  
Breakfast at the hotel, depart for the pagoda of Shwedagon. At 50 meters in height, this sacred monument dominates the city. During this half-day, your guide will present you the complete history of the pagoda, the daily lives of people around and for the pagoda and give you valuable explanations about religion Buddhist mixed with the belief of Nats, the spirits of Burma. The visit includes a traditional Burmese breakfast, offerings to the monks and a visit to a fortune teller. Transfer to Yangon Airport and flight to Hanoi.  
 
When you arrive at the airport, your new driver takes you to your hotel for a little rest. In the evening, do not hesitate to venture alone for a dinner in the old quarter of Hanoi.

Day 14: Hanoi 
Wake up early to explore Hanoi and immerse yourself in this exciting city like a local. Your guide will join you at the hotel to take you to the lake Hoan Kiem.  This is where the tour begins. It is a cultural habit in Vietnam to get up very early and start the day with a little exercise. 

After visiting the temple of Ngoc Son, in the middle of the lake Hoan Kiem, come and taste the local coffee in a charming traditional bistro.  The discovery continues in the streets of the city, where you are brought to taste the delicious Ball MI, it's a baguette sandwich filled with lots of stuff. 
Continuation to the old quarter of Hanoi, you will be amazed by its French architecture. Stop at St. Joseph's Cathedral, of Gothic inspiration, it was built in 1886. 
 
Visit of the former Hoa Lo prison, this is where the Vietnamese, American and French prisoners were detained during the war. To finish the morning, head to Lake Huu Tiep renamed Lake B-52, as you can see the wreck of an old American bomber. Back in town for lunch.
 
It is the temple of literature that is on the agenda of the afternoon. Built in 1076, the first University of Vietnam was created in this temple to educate royalty, mandarins and the elite of the local population. The university worked for 700 years. The beautiful gardens and The totally unspoilt architecture of the place offer you a very interesting overview of the country's history.  
 
Last stop to finish the day, the rails of the city of Hanoi.

Day 15: Hanoi – Ninh Soldiers
Departure for Ninh Soldiers after breakfast. The ancient capital of the country, in the 10th and 11th century during the Dinh & Le Dynasty, offers remarkable picturesque landscapes. Visit the monuments dedicated to the 2 emperors before continuing to Tam Coc and its famous rice fields that you will travel by bike. It is on a small boat, like a local farmer, that you will go down the river from Thung Nham. Relax and enjoy this moment of tranquillity to admire the panorama.

Day 11: Bagan

This is Bagan!  Discovery in our way of the city of Bagan and its region

 

A tour of the city complete with an experienced guide in private car.  You will visit the most famous temples in the area. The day begins with a unique viewpoint across the region. From here, your guide brings you to the discovery of the temples all more beautiful and more impressive than the others. Between Ananda, Dhammayangyi, Sulamani And Thatbyinnyu, you will tell us where your preference is going. 

 

Around 4pm, it is in a horse-drawn carriage that you will reach an isolated place to watch the unique sunset show on the valley, tasting a perfect little drink!!! Cheers!!!

Wake up early to explore Hanoi and immerse yourself in this exciting city like a local... Your guide will join you at the hotel in 07h to take you to the lake Hoan Kiem.  This is where the tour begins. It is a cultural habit in Vietnam to get up very early and start the day with a little exercise. It is especially amazing for our Western eyes to be able to observe all these people, of any age, and especially women get together in a park to practice tai-chi or aerobics. If the heart tells you, do not hesitate to join a group to accompany the inhabitants in their morning routine. 

 

After visiting the temple of Ngoc Son, in the middle of the lake Hoan Kiem, we invite you to come and taste the local coffee in a charming traditional bistro.  Let yourself be tempted by a delicious Coffee Coffee sura Gives (iced coffee) or if you are more adventurous by an egg coffee. The discovery continues in the streets of the city, where you are brought to taste the delicious Ball MI, it's a baguette sandwich filled with lots of stuff. Day 16: Ninh Soldiers – Bay of Halong/this Gai 
Take the road to Hon Gay Marina after breakfast.  Board the Athena Luxury Cruise for a beautiful day cruise on the Bay of Halong. Classified as a Unesco World Heritage site, you are at the heart of one of the most beautiful postcards in the world...Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be served to you, then, after registration, installation in your cabin. Lunch will be served on board in front of the beautiful landscapes of Halong.  Navigate to reach the cave of Luon That you will discover by kayak (if you do not feel comfortable with the kayak, a bamboo boat is made available).

Continue to the island of Titop, a warmly recommended place for lovers of beautiful photographs. Indeed, the landscapes that can be admired from the top of the hill, are breathtaking. Back to the boat for sunset. Tonight, for dinner, it's seafood with a delicious glass of wine, that promises a great time. Possibility to participate in a fishing party at the calamari in the evening. Overnight on board in Deluxe cabin.

Day 17: Halong - Hanoi – Luang Prabang 
Before you return to the mainland, visit the very impressive Sung Sot cave with your guide. The boat goes on its way back to its starting point leaving you to enjoy the majesty of the place. Today it is you who prepare lunch. A small kitchen workshop is planned on board to introduce you to the preparation of the authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. The meal will be served on board before the landing.  When you arrive at the marina, your driver is waiting for you to take you directly to Hanoi airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. When you arrive at the airport, once you have made the entrance formalities, you join your new driver who will take you to the hotel for the night.

Day 18: Luang Prabang 
If you have no problem waking up at dawn, follow your guide to the sacred monks' ritual during their alms rounds. Called the Sai Bath, this long procession of monks dressed in orange who come to receive their morning rice from the villagers is a unique moment to live. Back to the hotel for breakfast. From here, your guide leads you to the discovery of the city. Luang Prabang, renowned for its beautiful landscapes and numerous temples, is an ancient royal capital that has a great architectural diversity, composed of ancient facades with French colonial influence, and gilded roofs of ancient religious buildings.

Listed as a Unesco World Heritage site, the city is located at the junction of the Mekong River and its tributary Kahn. Visit of the Wat Temple Xieng Thong, this 500-year-old temple is exquisite and is a perfect example of the classic style of Luang Prabang. The walk continues with the visit of the National Museum which is also the former royal palace. Before you return to the hotel, stop on the hill Phousi. You will be widely rewarded by the remarkable view over the whole region. The waterfalls of Kuang If are often described as an essential step during a stay in the area. The setting is sumptuous with its turquoise water basins, its small wooden bridges, the waterfall that descends on several levels and its lush forest, do not forget to bring your swimsuit, and enjoy this very refreshing moment. Back to the hotel for the night.

Day 19: Luang Prabang 
Depart to the city pier after breakfast for a sensational new day. Your boat will dock ready for a charming little village. After lunch, go back to the boat to reach the caves of Pak or. Located on the banks of the river, at the mouth of the Nam or, this high place of pilgrimage is worth a visit. You are laid at the foot of an impressive limestone cliff in which there are no less than 3000 statues with the effigy of Buddha... Let your eyes adjust gently to the darkness of the places, and enjoy the serenity that emerges from the place. 

Back to Luang Prabang. Before arriving, the last stop in a small village called Ban Mano for a private ceremony of Kisses. All the villagers gather around their leader Nai Ban to offer you a good fortune by gently attaching cotton cords around the wrists. These bracelets will bring you luck, friendship and health. Back to the hotel for the night.

Day 20: Luang Prabang – Siem Reap 
Depart after breakfast to the airport and flight to Siem Reap, or free time if the flight is scheduled the afternoon. When you arrive and after you pick up your luggage, meet with your driver and your guide to transfer to the hotel. 

Night in the Hotel Les Jardins Angkor 4* in a Deluxe room. Included: Breakfast. 

Day 21: Siem Reap: The Temples of Angkor! 
The city of Angkor reveals itself in the midst of a majestic forest. A complex that spans over 400km ² and contains magnificent vestiges of the rich past of the Khmer Empire between the 9th and 15th centuries. Start at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, for a 1km walk along the wall to a hidden temple. Then come the Bayon temples, Baphoun et Terrace of Elephants Then The leper King et Preah Khan.  

In the afternoon, it is the famous temple of the jungle Ta Phrom. Finish in beauty with the main temple: Angkor Wat. Considered one of the greatest achievements built by man, these intricate sculptures demonstrate the skill of the Khmer constructors.  Built at the beginning of the 12th century, it was mysteriously abandoned 2 centuries later by the Khmer population. Today, a large part of Cambodia's reputation lies in this particular temple.

Please note: During visits to temples and other religious sites, visitors are advised to take care of their attire by adopting a style consisting of long trousers and a shirt for covering knees and elbows.

Day 22:  Siem Reap – Poipet - Bangkok 
This morning your guide accompanies you to Poipet on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. After crossing the border, it is in mini-van that your driver picks you up to take you back to Bangkok (about 3 hours drive) to your hotel near the airport.

Overnight at the hotel Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, and Room Superior. Included: Breakfast.

Day 23: Bangkok 
Transfer to the airport according to the departure time of your international flight.

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.
