In each, you'll find trend-setting design, inventive cuisine, unbeatable museums, great shopping, pretty parks and loads of atmosphere.

The old town, Gamla Stan, is one of Europe’s most arresting historic hubs, all storybook buildings, imposing palaces and razor-thin cobblestone streets. Just a few metres from this time capsule, the modern city centre shines like the pages of a magazine. Downtown is a catwalk, showroom and test kitchen. Everything here is the very latest thing.

Harads

For the second part of this stay, you will travel to Harads, a small village in the north of Sweden, part of the municipality of Boden. Located only about fifty kilometres from the Arctic Circle, this region will offer you a range of breathtaking landscapes. With its unspoiled nature, you can go for magnificent hikes in the heart of a unique environment, fish and above all, recharge your batteries in peace. This is a village known for its Treehouse hotel in the heart of the trees, with rooms perched from 4 to 10 metres above the ground, you will live an unforgettable experience in one of the cabins, each unique with unusual architecture… A real change of scenery awaits you!

Your Tour Hotels —

Our members will stay in a Standard Room at Downtown Camper by Scandic 4*, a private compartment during your night on the train and in a treehouse accommodation in Harads with meals included as per itinerary. This will be Breakfast during the stay in Stockholm and at the treehouse and Room Only on the overnight train.

Please note: You will stay in one of the following categories at the Treehotel: Bird's Nest, UFO or Blue Cone. If you have a preference, please let us know however the accommodation type is not guaranteed. For guests staying 2 nights at the Treehouse, each night can be in a different accommodation.

Experience incredible accommodation when you stay at the Treehotel. The Treehotel is located in a stunning tall pine forest with spectacular views of the Lule River. The tree rooms are suspended 4-10 metres above the ground and are accessible by ramp, bridge, or electric stairs. Upon checking in at The Guesthouse, it’s a five-minute walk to Treehotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in our Treehotel Guesthouse restaurant.

At the Treehotel there is also a charming top restaurant onsite. Treat yourself to a meal with local Swedish delicacies and some high quality food with seasonal ingredients. Unwind in the homely environment with timeless decor and enjoy some nutritious and delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy.

Your Room Options (Room type not guaranteed) —

The UFO
Venture into the unknown when you stay in the UFO. Playfully designed to be the last thing you would expect to find in the forest, this accommodation contrasts with some of the other treehouses such as the Bird's Nest and stands out in the natural surroundings. Inside guests are welcomed with a starry sky ceiling and textiles which fit to the out-of-this-world theme. Look out the small windows and take in the surroundings and enjoy moments of feeling the UFO move, due to its suspension on wires and beams. 

The UFO features one double bed and three single beds as well as incinerating toilets and would need to put large suitcases in the luggage room. 
The Bird’s Nest
Created to blend in with its surroundings, the Bird's Nest is an enchanting accommodation type where guests can become one with nature and immerse themselves in the incredible environment. This is a compact space with small windows and surprisingly bright interiors. Enter the room via a ladder through a small hatch door and make the most of this ultra unique accommodation. There are also sliding doors that allow guests to have separate bedrooms, a toilet and cushioned seating by the windows creating the ideal spot to look out onto the nature beyond.

Large suitcases will need to be kept in the luggage room of the main building. 
The Blue Cone
This accommodation option was built around ease and simplicity, where guests can enjoy spacious interiors and a stunning view. The Blue Cone is made of typical wooden construction and sits on three pillars with a sloping ground beneath giving the sensation of being higher up. Rest up in the comfortable double bed and wake up to the beautiful scenic view that is sure to take your breath away. Take a seat in front of the a large window and make the most of the peaceful and elegant vibe of this space. 

This room is accessed by a long ramp which makes it accessible to those with a disability.

Flights: You may choose from Economy, Premium or Business class flights on sectors that they operate, at the next stage of the booking process.

The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: Private transfers are included from Boden to Brittas Pensionat and from Treehotel to Lulea Airport. From the Brittas Pensionat to the Treehotel it is just a 5-minute walk.

For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. If you still require assistance, please call the transfer provider directly.

If your passport describes you as a British Citizen, you do not need a visa to enter Sweden. For non-British citizens, you should check the current entry requirements on the website of the Foreign Ministry and if necessary, confirm with the Swedish Embassy. 


Health

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately. 

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance. 

Brexit 

If you are travelling to the EU, the UK government recommends that you have six months left on your passport on the date of your arrival to an EU country. You should also check when your passport was renewed.

If you renewed a 10-year adult passport before it expired, extra months may have been added to your passport’s expiry date. These extra months over 10 years will not count towards the 6 months that must be remaining. Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.
