Ockelbo

When summer draws to a close, Sweden turns the colours of its flag. Most of the trees display glorious yellow foliage in the backdrop of a saturated blue sky. In Ockelbo, you'll have the opportunity to explore marshes and lakes, trails frequented by deer and bear, and deep verdant forests. Walk into the wilderness, where you'll encounter varying terrains and scenery and discover the world of off-track hiking.

Your Itinerary —

During their stay, our members will follow the brief as seen below.

Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Upon arrival in Stockholm, make your own way to the Downtown Camper by Scandic 4* and enjoy free time and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Stockholm - Ockelbo (pick up from Ockelbo station included - train journey = 2 hours)
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and head to the train station for an included train transfer to Ockelbo. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Stilleben 3* for free time and an overnight stay. Your stay will be completed with an organic dinner, based on permaculture design principles. This offer is available during the best months to visit the Swedish countryside when nature is at its most beautiful.

Day 3: Ockelbo
As from August, almost everybody in Sweden goes out into the forest for someblåbärsplockning (blueberry picking) or svampplockning (mushroom picking). After a delicious breakfast, your GPS will guide you off-track to some of the hotel's best spots. Upon return, the chef will prepare local natural treasures for dinner. This holiday experience represents one last hoorah before the days begin to shorten and cooler weather sends people inside.

Day 4: Ockelbo
You are invited to use the hotel's sauna, a calming isolated sanctuary near the lake where guests can recharge and indulge in the serenity of the water, accompanied with an outdoor jacuzzi and a delicious eco-friendly meal.

Day 5: Ockelbo - Stockholm (drop off at from Ockelbo station included - train journey = 2 hours)
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and transfer to the train station for an included train transfer to Stockholm. Upon arrival, check back in to the Downtown Camper by Scandic 4* and enjoy free time and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and make your way to the airport for your return flight home.

A 3-course dinner is served each night at 6 pm according to a daily menu in the hotel's restaurant.
