Each year, as the festive season rolls back around, Stockholm gears up to host some of Scandinavia's most historic and jubilant Christmas markets.

Nestled in the heart of the city's fairy-lit squares and cobbled streets, Stockholm's Christmas markets play host to a wide variety of stalls, selling tasty treats such as gingerbread, warm glögg, and traditional sweets. We highly recommend setting out on a guided 'Christmas tour' in Gamla Stan, where visitors will be surrounded by the city's iconic colourful houses and a warm, cheerful and romantic atmosphere.

Scandic Grand Central Stockholm 4* —

A 6-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station and located in one of the most urban parts of the city, the Scandic Grand Central 4* is set in an 1880s building with wooden floors and modern amenities. It's inspired by the styles of New York, particularly the theatres and stages of the roaring twenties.
