Day 1: Arrive into Lima
Upon arrival at the airport, you will receive a transfer to your hotel. Overnight at a selected hotel in Lima.
- In Barranco, we recommend you stroll the streets around the place des Armes, go through the bridge of sighs and along the Malecon, to discover the charming architecture and colorful houses of the bohemian district of the capital. Between designer boutiques, street-arts, street musicians and colonial mansions, you will find two merging universes in Barranco!
Transfer from your hotel to the bus terminal. Departure by bus to Paracas. Travel time: 4 hours. Transfer from the bus terminal to your hotel in Paracas. Night at the hotel.

Departure for the port of Paracas. Excursion to the Ballestas Islands in a collective boat with a local guide, where many sea lions and various birds await you peacefully. Called also the "Galapagos of Peru", this archipelago is famous for the exploitation of its guano which has accumulated during centuries on the cliffs of the coast.
Bathed in cold waters rich in fish, these islands are also an important ornithological reserve where many colonies of birds (penguins, cormorants, terns ...) live together, as well as a large number of sea lions that you will be able to observe from the boat. Duration of the excursion: 2 hours

Suggestions:
- In Arequipa, it is good to stroll in the streets and between the buildings with colonial architecture: the place of the arms and the cathedral, the cloister of the company of Jesus or the district of San Lorenzo, known picturesque district as the oldest district of the city. Arequipa is also known for its textile crafts. To end the day, you can go to the viewpoint of Yanahuara, offering an overview of the white city and surrounding volcanoes.

Day 6: Arequipa - Puno
Morning free. In the afternoon you will make the trip Arequipa - Puno by tourist bus. Enjoy a trip between Arequipa and Puno, with stops along the way, to appreciate the beauty of the landscape and take as many photos as you want.
Itinerary of the day:
13:15: Departure by bus from Arequipa to Puno (our local correspondent picks you up at your hotel in Arequipa and takes you to the bus terminal)
2:45 pm: Stop at Pampa Cañahuas to observe Vicuña
15:00: Stop in Pampa Cañahuas: Mate of coca
4:40 pm: Stop in Lagunillas and bird watching and lagoons
19:30: Arrival in Puno
Reception on arrival at the Puno bus terminal and transfer to the hotel.

In the morning at 08:00, transfer to the port of Puno to embark for the islands Uros and Amantani (shared boat). After about twenty-five minutes by boat, visit the floating islands. The latter are not natural, they were built by the Uros tribe, whose main activity is fishing. Continuation of navigation (about two and a half hours) to Amantani.
Stay with one of the families of the island. Lunch. In the afternoon, stroll to the top of the island to visit the sites dedicated to Pachamama and Pachapapa. Dinner and overnight at the family's house. A private English-speaking guide will accompany you for this two-day excursion.

Day 8: Amantani - Taquile - Puno

Transfer from the hotel to Puno to the bus terminal. At 7:00, departure by tourist bus to Cusco (unaccompanied trip), navel of the Inca Empire. This route allows to enjoy beautiful landscapes throughout the route, via the neck of Raya, at 4 320 meters above sea level. Stop at the village of Pukara and his small place of arms. Lunch included (buffet restaurant in Sicuani). Continue to Raqchi to visit the temple of Wiracocha (the creator of the world), built with the lava of the Quinchasata volcano. Discovery of the remains of the great administrative city which contains in particular more than 160 circular constructions which served as warehouses to the Empire. Then take a break in the village of Checacupe to discover the colonial bridge that is the pride of its inhabitants.
Visit the village of Andahuaylillas and its church, nicknamed Sistine Chapel of the Andes for its inner wealth (wall paintings overlaid on 3 centuries, paintings, altar carved and gilded with gold leaf, organ). End the day with a short stop in Oropesa, known for producing the best bread in all of Peru. Arrival in Cusco at the end of the day. Overnight at the hotel El Andariego

Day 10: Cusco
Free day to discover in freedom, the capital of the Inca Empire.
Suggestions:
- In the morning, you can go to the San Pedro market to discover the many varieties of exotic fruits that you will only find in Peru, cusqueños breads, local cheeses, as well as Cusquenian florists and craftsmen. all kind!
You can then go to the Plaza de Armas to visit the Cathedral of Cusco, surely the most beautiful religious monument in the country.
Finally, we recommend you visit Qoricancha Temple. This Inca temple (the most precious of the time) was ravaged by the Spaniards during the colonization. His foundations were later reused to build the church of Santo Domingo.
At the end of the day, you can go to the Sacsayhuaman archeological site that you will reach through the typical district of San Blas or stay around to stroll through the cobbled streets of the colonial center of Cusco, a magnificent sight at the time of the day. sunset.
The free time in Cusco is generally appreciated for its walking possibilities in the many small cobbled streets of the city. You can also take advantage of this moment to make your last purchases of souvenirs: between clothes, jewelry and decoration, it is not the choice that is missing in Cusco!

Departure at 7:30 in the morning from your hotel. You go in private vehicle for a day dedicated to the discovery of the Sacred Valley. First step, Chinchero, its colonial church and its Inca ruins. Then, continuation of the excursion to Maras: salines in full Cordillera, established on the side of a valley which gathers about 3,600 basins organized in cooperative. You have the possibility to buy on the spot salt of Maras, whose benefits are comparable to those of pink salt of the Himalayas. Continuation of the visits towards the Moray site, famous for its terraces which served as agricultural laboratory to the Incas and continuation towards Ollantaytambo. You board a train to Aguas Calientes, starting point for Machu Picchu. Train in the afternoon.
Note: The train company authorizes travelers to carry a cabin bag weighing up to 8 kilos per person. It will be advisable to leave your baggage in deposit at the hotel in Sacred Valley or in Cusco.

Arrival on the site of Machu Picchu, wonder of the world. Machu Picchu is an ancient Inca city of the fifteenth century in Peru. Abandoned during the collapse of the Inca empire, the sacred city of the Incas, forgotten for centuries, is considered a masterpiece of the architecture of this civilization. It was unveiled by the American archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911.
Entrance to Machu Picchu is regulated by 3 hours of permanence on the site. We will send you the schedule of entry on the site that we recommend according to your program. After this confirmation, the time of entry on the site can not be modified. Visit the citadel with your site guide (about 2h30). Return by train.
