Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met by your guide and whisked off on your private transfer to the glamorous Hotel Westin Libertador, Lima in the dazzling San Isidro district. Take a leisurely walk and wander around this vibrant area as you start to get to know the city. Stay - Lima, Westin Libertador (Deluxe Room).
DAY 2 – LIMA CULINARY EXPERIENCE (B&L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a tantalising gastronomic experience with a Peruvian chef. Visit the San Isidro market accompanied by your chef to discover the main ingredients used in Peruvian cooking. You will then continue to Urban Kitchen to be part of a participatory cooking lesson and culinary demonstration after which, you will enjoy the delights of the delicious dishes prepared in class. DAY 3 – LIMA CITY TOUR & FLIGHT TO CUSCO (B)
After breakfast you’ll explore Lima old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with fascinating historic buildings. Enjoy the Main Square, where Lima was first founded as ‘The City of Kings’ in 1535, and then as capital of the Republic of Peru in 1821, when the country became independent from the Spanish crown. See the Presidential Palace and Lima Cathedral nearby. Visit the Aliaga House, an ancient vice regal house gifted by Francisco Pizarro to his captain Jerónimo de Aliaga after the foundation of the city. Continue to Saint Francis Church, which has an enviable collection of old books and an authentic network of
catacombs. Finish at the Larco Museum, founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926. The museum, located inside a vice regal mansion built on a pre-Columbian pyramid of the 7th century, houses the most complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artefacts. Take a private transfer to Lima airport for your 90-minute flight to Cusco. You will be met at Cusco airport and take a private transfer to your hotel, the stunning Libertador Palacio del Inca. Your guide will welcome you to all the attractions and services this former Incan city offers. Stay – Cusco, Libertador Palacio del Inka (Superior Room).
DAY 4 CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – CUSCO (B&L)
Start the day with breakfast at your hotel. Today’s tour takes you to Awanakancha and a farm of South American camelids where local families demonstrate the process of textile weaving and garment making. Continue to Pisac, famous for its local crafts market nestled between colonial buildings. Head on to Ollantaytambo - a typical example of the urban planning of the Incas – where ancient traditions carry on to this day. Inca Pachacutec conquered the town, destroyed it and built a new one absorbing it as part of his empire. The Ollantaytambo Fortress is a huge archaeological complex which, although it bears the name of fortress, was actually a tambo, used to accommodate delegations of long distance travellers. Stay – Cusco, Libertador Palacio del Inca (Superior Room).
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You’ll transfer to Ollanta station and take the scenic two-hour train ride to Aguas Calientes, also known as ‘Machu Picchu pueblo’. After a 30-minute bus ride, you’ll reach the citadel of Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that served as a sanctuary and retreat for Inca Pachacutec. Machu Picchu, which means ‘Old Mountain’, is considered a World Heritage by the UNESCO and one of the new seven wonders of the world. A truly amazing experience and one you’ll cherish for a lifetime. After lunch at Cafe Inkaterra, you’ll board an afternoon train back to Ollanta station and transfer to the hotel Libertador Palacio del Inka. DAY 6 CUSCO – PUNO (B&L)
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Cusco railway station. Board the Belmond Andean Explorer luxury train, considered one of the top ten railway journeys of the world. This ten-hour journey takes you through the spectacular Peruvian highlands where you will have the chance to view llamas, alpacas and naturally stunning landscapes. A three-course lunch will be served on board after stopping at La Raya, the highest point on the route.On arrival in Puno a private transfer will take you to your hotel, the Libertador Lago Titicaca. DAY 7 PUNO (B&L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. A motorboat excursion on Lake Titicaca will visit the most interesting and unique floating islands of the Uros. Uros are an ancestral community that inhabits a series of artificial islands built with totora, a reed that grows in the lake. The islands are constructed by woven reeds. After a one and a half-hour tour, continue your trip to Taquile Island. Unlike other islands, inhabited by Aymara-speaking people, its residents speak Quechua. Learn how the arrival of the Spaniards influenced the islands and how traditional customs still survive today. Stay – Puno, Libertador Lago Titicaca (Superior Room).
DAY 8 DEPART PUNO (B)
After breakfast at your hotel a private transfer will take you to the airport for your flight back to Lima and onward international flight connection to the UK.

Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is built within an historic mansion known as the Casona de los Cuatro Bustos. It boasts a privileged position next to Qoricancha Palace in the centre of Cusco and bears witness to over five centuries of this storied city’s history.
