- For this second day, we also recommend you take the Fløyen funicular for a clear view of the city, and then walk on the surrounding hiking trails, between small lakes and forests.
- Then head back down to Old Bergen, perhaps visiting its open-air folk museum. Comprising over 40 wooden buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, it provides a snapshot of daily life in Bergen, in the olden days.
Overnight stay at your hotel in Bergen.

Your destinations —
Bergen
Bergen is Norway’s second city and the world’s only city surrounded by seven mountains and seven fjords. Bergen is, with good reason, called the Gateway to the Fjords due to its close proximity to the Norwegian fjords. This makes the city the perfect starting point for exploring the fjord region.
Stavanger
The cosmopolitan and prosperous city of Stavanger, with its picturesque streets and dynamic cultural life, is located on a peninsula in southwestern Norway. Stavanger benefits from the warm current of the Gulf Stream. Therefore, the climate here is particularly mild and summer here are pleasant.
The special advantage of the city is that it is located on a famous fjord, which experts from all over the world have described as the best-preserved destination in the country. You will find mountains, clean water, long sandy beaches - and last but not least the famous Preikestolen - right on your doorstep.
In Stavanger, you can experience history up close. Visit the beautiful cathedral, the old quarter with winding streets and beautiful fishermen's houses made of white wood. Stavanger boasts numerous shops, lively cafes and restaurants with delicious fish dishes and local products and there are numerous festivals, especially in the summer months.
