The rest of the day is at leisure to begin discovering Bergen, Norway’s gateway to the fjords. Stroll along the historic harbour, explore the lively fish market, and admire the colourful wooden façades of Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through narrow, sloping alleyways lined with traditional timber houses and cosy cafés.

DAY 2 | BERGEN
Today is at leisure to explore Bergen, the historic Hanseatic city nestled between seven hills.
We suggest discovering the UNESCO-listed Bryggen district, where 61 restored wooden merchant houses line the harbour. Originally German trading posts, these colourful buildings were rebuilt after the great fire of 1702 and faithfully reflect their medieval architecture.
From the 13th century until 1830, Bergen was Norway’s capital and the most influential city in Scandinavia. Today, with around 230,000 inhabitants, it remains the country’s vibrant second city, blending maritime heritage with modern Nordic energy.

DAY 3 | BERGEN
Make your way to the station and board the train to Voss along the iconic Bergensbanen railway, one of Norway’s most scenic rail journeys.
As the train climbs from the coast into the mountains, you will pass fjords, glacial rivers, tranquil lakes and dramatic peaks. The journey itself is a highlight, offering ever-changing views of Western Norway’s landscapes.
Arrive in Voss, a charming mountain village known for outdoor pursuits such as skiing and hiking.

DAY 4 | NÆRØYFJORD → FLÅM → MYRDAL → GEILO
This morning promises one of the most scenic days of your journey.
Travel by shuttle from Voss to Gudvangen, set at the edge of the fjords, before boarding a memorable cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, an arm of the legendary Sognefjord and one of the narrowest fjords in the world. Emerald waters, cascading waterfalls and dramatic cliffs create an extraordinary natural spectacle, particularly under the unique Nordic light.
Disembark in the charming village of Flåm, nestled at the end of the Aurlandsfjord, where you may enjoy lunch by the water (not included).
In the afternoon, board the iconic Flåmsbana railway to Myrdal. More than a simple train journey, this is a panoramic experience through deep valleys, traditional wooden houses and towering peaks. You will pass the impressive Kjosfossen waterfall, with the opportunity to admire it from a viewing platform.
Change trains in Myrdal and continue to Geilo, your alpine retreat for the next two nights. Landscapes vary with the season — from snow-covered plateaus to autumnal hues or blooming summer fields.

DAY 5 | GEILO
Today is at leisure in Geilo, a mountain village set at 794 metres above sea level on the edge of Hardangervidda National Park.
A favourite year-round destination for Norwegians, Geilo offers alpine skiing, cross-country trails and snowshoeing in winter. During the warmer months, hiking, lake swimming and exploring vast mountain plateaus are popular activities.
Optional experience (at additional cost): 1-hour Husky safari. After instruction from experienced mushers, try driving your own dog sled. Two guests share each sled and may switch halfway through the ride.

DAY 6 | OSLO
Make your way to the station and board the train to Oslo (approximately 4–5 hours). This journey forms part of the scenic Bergensbanen railway, widely regarded as one of Norway’s most beautiful rail routes.
Arrive at Oslo Central Station and make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 7 | OSLO
Today is at leisure to discover Oslo, Norway’s elegant waterfront capital.
We suggest joining an optional panoramic city tour (at additional cost), during which you will admire the Royal Palace, the National Theatre, Parliament, and the striking Oslo Opera House. You will also pass by Oslo City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place each year.
Visit the medieval Akershus Fortress, offering views over the harbour, and explore the impressive Vigeland Park, home to more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland.
