Day 1: Kathmandu
Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, is a mesmerising blend of ancient tradition and modernity.
Wander lively markets, where colourful textiles, spices, and handicrafts tempt the senses. Amidst the chaos, find moments of serenity in tranquil courtyards and hidden shrines, offering glimpses into the spiritual heart of Nepal.

- Arrive at the airport to a warm welcome before a transfer to your hotel. Check-in is from 3 pm.
- In the afternoon visit Swayambunath (UNESCO), the oldest place of worship in the valley, and discover the old town of Kathmandu: Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square (UNESCO), the royal sanctuary of Teleju, the Kumari House and the colourful bazaar of Thamel, the Mecca of the hippie era. Enjoy a stroll through the tourist district of Thamel.

DAY 2: KATHMANDU

- Walk around the Shiva temple of Pashupatinath (UNESCO) before reaching the Tibetan quarter of Bodnath (UNESCO) and its great 14th-century white stupa topped with prayer flags, a major Buddhist pilgrimage site.
- Continue to Bhaktapur (UNESCO), a charming old medieval town with cobbled streets.

DAY 3: KATHMANDU - DULIKHEL - KATHMANDU (16.7 miles / 30 mins)

- Enjoy a morning of discovery in Patan (UNESCO), a remarkably well-preserved former royal city, where a timeless atmosphere reigns amongst high pagodas of carved wood and red brick.
- In the afternoon, take a short drive to Dulikhel, a traditional Newar village built on a ridge at an altitude of 2000 metres.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Pokhara
Pokhara, nestled in the tranquil foothills of the Himalayas, is surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range, its picturesque lakeside setting offers breathtaking vistas at every turn.

- In the morning drive to Pokhara, a pleasant health resort renowned for its mild climate and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range.
- Take a boat trip on Lake Phewa (approx. 1 hour) to the temple of the goddess Varahi, nestling on a romantic little island.
- In the afternoon, explore Pokhara further: the Devis waterfalls, the Bindebasani temple in the old town, and the gorges and natural pools of the Seti river.

DAY 5: POKHARA

- Take a day trip to Sarangkot village, and enjoy free time to wander through narrow streets and the shops of the local bazaar.
- Choose to take an optional trek: Watch the sunrise over the Himalayas from Sarankot (1592m) and enjoy a picnic breakfast at the summit (weather permitting). Enjoy spotting and hearing many varieties of birds on this early morning excursion. Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours uphill and 1.5 hours downhill from the lake.

DAY 6: POKHARA - CHITWAN (123 miles / 4 hours)

- Drive to the Chitwan reserve and enjoy an afternoon to explore at your leisure. Spend the night in a lodge in the heart of the jungle.

Day 7: Chitwan
Chitwan Royal National Park, a jewel of Nepal's wildlife conservation efforts, sprawls across lush lowlands and dense forests in the Terai region. Home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including the majestic Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, and elusive leopard, the park offers unparalleled opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.

- Depart early in the morning by jeep for a walk through the jungle, where you can discover the flora and fauna of the Chitwan reserve.
- In the afternoon, take a short walk around the lodge, or choose to canoe.

Please note: The Royal Chitwan Park is closed from 1st July to 30th September each monsoon season. Monsoon activities will therefore only be conducted in the community forest.
