Your Itinerary —
Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport (approx altitude 1330 metres), you will be met by an airport representative. You will then be escorted to your hotel where you will have some time to relax and recover from the flight. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu
Start your day of exploration of Nepal from Kathmandu, a mystical mix of religion, culture and everything in between. You will explore Kathmandu's Durbar Square, home to most of the temples and palaces that date back to 17th and 18th century. Your time in Kathmandu also includes a visit to Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal. Here, you can walk around the stupa's, spinning traditional prayer wheels, chanting and and offering a traditional butter lamp to Lord Buddha. You will then explore nearby Swayambhunath - an ancient religious piece of architecture in the Kathmandu valley. Throughout the trip, you will be accompanied by a driver and an English-speaking guide who will explain the historical and cultural importance of each spot. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.
You now begin your drive to Pokhara in an air conditioned tourist coach. This drive along the banks of Trishuli River will let you enjoy amazing landscapes, glimpses of authentic countryside of Nepal and pristine towns. The journey to Pokhara (altitude: approx 915 metres, distance: 207 kilometres) will take around 7 to 9 hours depending on the traffic. After you reach Pokhara, you will have an entire evening to explore the laid-back city that is the gateway to travellers who love trekking and Himalayas. Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara
Today you will explore the city by visiting some of its famous lakes, temples, like Gupteshwor Mahadev, and David’s Fall. You’ll be accompanied by a driver and an English-speaking guide who can explain the history and cultural importance of each spot. Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5: Pokhara
You will have the day at your own leisure, allowing you to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara.
This morning, you will travel from Pokhara to Chitwan (altitude: about 415 metres, distance 155 kilometres; approx. 7 hours) by air conditioned tourist coach. On arrival, you’ll check into a wildlife lodge and will have a short brief for your Chitwan stay. Enjoy a welcome drink and then head to your respective rooms. After a period of rest, you will be briefed about the activities in Chitwan. After the briefing, you will have time to have your lunch. The lunch will be followed by a cultural tour the Tharu Village. Tharus are indigenous people of Terai, living there for more than 500 years while still preserving most of their age-old fascinating culture. The same night, you will witness the famous Tharu Stick dance followed by the dinner. Overnight at your hotel in Chitwan.
Day 6: Chitwan
After breakfast, you will have a host of activities to indulge in throughout the day. A canoe ride in the Rapti River will allow you to watch some fascinating creatures like crocodiles and kingfishers. Chitwan is one of the most sought-after places for bird watching, which will be one of the highlights of your stay. Take a walk along the nature trails, visit the Elephant breeding centre and a jeep safari will round up your day pleasantly. On your return, you will have your dinner. Overnight at your hotel in Chitwan. (Note: Please wear dark coloured clothes for park visit).
You will start off your day with breakfast and after a brief rest, you will be picked up by your vehicle and will drive back to Kathmandu in an air conditioned tourist coach. The journey from Chitwan to Kathmandu will take about 7 hours (approx distance 155 kilometres) depending on the traffic. On arrival, you will be picked up from the tourist coach station and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 9: Departure from Kathmandu
Today after breakfast, you will be driven to the international airport to board your return flight back to the UK.

Guests staying on Christmas Eve/Day (24th/25th December) or New Year's Eve (31st December) will have an additional fee added to the cost of their booking, payable for mandatory gala dinners on these dates.
