Day 2: Yangon - Bagan
Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a transfer to Yangon Airport before catching a flight to Nyaung-U. Upon arrival, you'll discover the wonders of the Ananda Temple which has been described as an architectural masterpiece and is certainly one of the most striking temples in Bagan. Discover its murals, dating from the 13th century. Next, proceed to the Manuha Temple; built in Mon style in 1059 and the Nanpaya temple, a sandstone monument. Discovery the elegant Htilominlo Temple, renowned for its fine plaster sculptures and glazed stoneware decorations. This great temple was built by King Htilominlo in 1218. The temple was damaged in the 1975 earthquake and was later renovated. Then, head to Thatbyinnyu, the largest temple in Bagan and the Shwezigon Pagoda, where pilgrims come to honor Buddha. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Mynkaba village located in the south. Stop at the Mynkaba-Gubaukkyi Temple, with its impressive murals and frescos - the temple is also one of the oldest temples of Bagan dating from 1113. Then, you will head to a traditional lacquer-ware workshop where you can observe skilled artisans produce one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Visit the Shwegugyi Temple, also known as the Great Golden Cave - an example of Bagan architecture in the middle ages. Continue your exploration by taking a path that leads to Dhammayangyi Pagoda and Shwesandaw Pagoda, before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Bagan
On this day, you'll enjoy free time in Bagan, exploring your beautiful surroundings.

Day 4: Bagan - Mandalay

It is time to do offering to the nuns at nunnery. After you have presented an offering to each of the nuns, you will have time to learn and discuss about the daily lives of nuns and their point of view. After lunch, transfer in a private air conditioned vehicle to Mandalay (approx. 1 hour drive). Located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, Mandalay is Burma's second largest city, with about six million inhabitants. It was its last royal capital, between 1860 and 1885, during the Konbaung dynasty. It was then called the "city of jewels", for its renowned jade. It is now the administrative capital of the Mandalay region. Upon arrival in Mandalay, transfer in a private air conditioned vehicle for the day’s activities before heading to your hotel to check-in and enjoy an overnight stay.

Visit of the Mingun Pagoda which was built by King Bodawpaya in the early 19th century and which should have been the largest in the world. The death of the sovereign in 1819 and the earthquake of 1838 stopped this grand project. It is now forbidden to climb to the top of the pagoda because the accesses are not at all secure. Moreover, this practice degrades the monument. Another stop is planned at the Mingun Bell (90 tons, 4 m high and 5 m diameter), the second-biggest bell in the world after that of Moscow. The visit to the site in the late afternoon is particularly nice at sunset. You will see the beautiful white pagoda of Hsinbyume. Then you can explore the local crafts at the weaving village of Inpawkhone and at the cheroot factory where they make the Burmese cigars by hand. Return to your hotel by motorised pirogue for an overnight stay.
