Vietnam
There has never been a better time to go on a Vietnam holiday than now, as the country with a fascinating past warmly embraces its future as a major player among international tourist destinations. Vũng Tàu is the enticing port capital of Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province, on a peninsula in southern Vietnam. Once a French colonial town, it’s now a popular seaside resort that drawsmany visitors from Ho Chi Minh City. Its long, busy stretch of beach has verdant mountains as a striking backdrop.
Cambodia
At the turn of the millennium Siem Reap was a Cambodian provincial town with few facilities, minor surfaced roads and little in the way of nightlife. Now it is a major tourist hub due to its proximity to the world famous temples of Angkor (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
