Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival (Dinner)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by a guide and transferred to your hotel in the city centre to check in. Relax after a long journey.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel then drive you to Duong Lam village –a purely agricultural village in the north of the Red River Delta where several hundred-year-old houses still remain. Take a hike around the village to discover the daily life of Vietnamese peasants on the fields and have breaks in the ancient houses: the largest dating back more than 200 years and the oldest dating back more than 400 years. You will visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung Temple, dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung before heading to Mia Pagoda (one of the most beautiful pagodas of Viet Nam), which was built in the 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes. You will have a chance to contemplate the famous sculptures such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities.
In the afternoon, visit Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in the 11th century. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about the legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Later on, we take a cyclo tour around the Old Streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red River and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board to board a traditional junk. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting the Surprising Cave. Later on the junk move to docking area for overnight.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An (Brunch/Local Guide on the Boat)
In the morning, your brunch will be served while doing a further cruise to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the Wharf. The junk continues cruising toward Ha Long port. Ready for disembarking. Our car is ready to pick you up toward Hanoi. You will drive straight to the airport for a flight to Danang. Landing in Danang, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred 35 kilometres further to Hoi An.

Take a guided walking tour around Hoi An Ancient Town. Visit the Japanese covered bridge, a Chinese assembly hall, a typical Vietnamese merchant’s house, one of the interesting museums and the local market. There’re numerous art galleries, souvenirs and tailor shops where you can get some express made-to-order clothes if you like.
The next visit is to the home of a craftsman in the old streets. Here you’ll have a brief introduction to the history, shape and colour of the lanterns as well as stages of making them. After that, you can make a lantern on your own, decorate, pack and keep it as a souvenir of your time in Hoi An. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, your tour continues to Tra Que village and Cam Thanh village by car or bicycle.

Day 6: Hoi An - Danang – Siem Reap (Breakfast)
After breakfast, you will be in Hoi An until meeting your guide and driving to Danang Airport for a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at the airport in Siem Reap, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 7: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Ta Prohm - Angkor Wat (Breakfast and Lunch)
Explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourism. See the South Gate, Bayon Temple- unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Baphuon Temple: lying just to the north of Bayon, a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru. The Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas. The Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Continue to the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Ta Prohm was built in the 12th century. It’s a Buddhist temple dedicated to the mother of King Jayavarman VII. Pre Rup temple was built in the 10th century during the reign of King Rajendravarman II.
In the afternoon, you will visit the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendour. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Kompong Khleang village and contemplate its beautiful landscapes: floodplains, expanses of water, and rice fields ... Take a hike in the village to explore the local life before taking a traditional boat ride along the canals.
Visit a local market where you discover an unknown mix of colours, smells and sounds as you walk down the small alleys and meet some of the friendliest Khmer people who sell and buy a variety of food and household items. Return to Siem Reap. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will board a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Landing in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be met by our guide and driven to your hotel.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (Breakfast and Lunch)
After breakfast, depart from your hotel, then drive 2.5 hours to the Ben Tre province crossing Rach Mieu Bridge. On arrival in Hung Vuong Pier, hop on a motorized boat on Ben Tre River – one of the tributaries of Mekong River while sight-seeing lively activities along the river as fishing, water transferring. Our first stop is at will be an opportunity to meet locals and see how they make bricks traditional coconut leaf swobs.
Whilst back on land, why not make the most of your time and get to head through the rural roads on a relaxing bike ride? Cycle through peaceful villages, meet friendly locals and feel the tranquil scenes of rural life.
Next, you will head on a rowing-boat along beautiful water palm creek before indulging in a spot of cake and tea. Your lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant before you are transferred to the pier. You will then be returned to Ho Chi Minh by car.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
The boat ride on the Tonle Sap is not recommended during the dry season (March to July) due to the lack of water. During this period, this tour can be replaced by the visit of the Siem Reap countryside which inclides a Tuk-Tuk ride to explore one of the local villages where you can see the daily activities of the locals.
Today will be free to explore Ho Chi Minh City before your transfer to the airport.
If you opt for a beach extension you will be transferred to Mui Ne Beach, where you can check into your resort and spend the rest of the holiday relaxing.

Day 11 - 14: Mui Ne Beach - Departure
Spend four glorious days lounging on the beach at your resort before travelling back to Ho Chi Minh City in good time to connect to your departure flight back to the UK.
