DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN AMMAN
Welcome to Amman, Jordan’s lively capital blending ancient origins with contemporary charm. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airport before being transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to settle in, unwind or enjoy your first glimpse of the city’s warm atmosphere and hilltop views. As evening falls, Amman reveals its vibrant mix of cafés, culture and local life.
- Overnight in Amman.
DAY 2: AMMAN → KING’S HIGHWAY → MADABA → MOUNT NEBO → KARAK → PETRA (165 miles)
After breakfast, begin your journey along the legendary King’s Highway, one of the oldest trade routes in the Middle East. Your first stop is Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics”, where Byzantine heritage is expressed through extraordinary craftsmanship. Here you will visit St. George’s Church, home to the famous 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land, remarkably preserved and rich in historic detail.
Continue to the sacred heights of Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have glimpsed the Promised Land. From its summit, sweeping views stretch across the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and, on clear days, all the way to Jerusalem.
Travel onward to the mighty Karak Fortress, an imposing Crusader castle dominating the valley below. After lunch in Kerak, follow the Desert Highway towards Petra, where the landscape shifts into striking shades of red and gold.
- Overnight in Petra.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner included
DAY 3: PETRA
After breakfast, set off for a full day dedicated to exploring Petra, the legendary Rose-Red City carved entirely from sandstone. Walk through the dramatic Siq, a narrow canyon whose towering walls guide you toward Petra’s most iconic sight: Al-Khazneh (The Treasury), revealed in a breathtaking moment as the passage opens.
Your visit continues through a vast archaeological wonderland of tombs, temples, Roman colonnades, rock-cut façades and the remarkable Roman Theatre. Stroll along the ancient Cardo before reaching Qasr al-Bint, Petra’s best-preserved free-standing temple.
After lunch on site, ascend to The Monastery (El Deir), a majestic monument set high in the mountains, where extraordinary views reward your climb. Enjoy free time to explore before returning to your hotel.
- Overnight in Petra.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included
DAY 4: PETRA → LITTLE PETRA → WADI RUM (71 MILES)
After breakfast, return once more to the magic of Petra with a visit to Little Petra, a smaller but equally atmospheric Nabataean site carved into pale sandstone. This final glimpse of Petra’s ancient world offers a quieter, more intimate perspective before your journey continues southward.
You then travel into the vast expanse of Wadi Rum, a desert of monumental cliffs, sculpted valleys and deep silence. Described by T. E. Lawrence as “vast, echoing and god-like”, its beauty lies entirely in the work of nature. This is also one of the symbolic sites of the Great Arab Revolt, immortalised in Lawrence of Arabia.
Enjoy lunch in a Bedouin camp and discover the warmth of Bedouin hospitality. In the afternoon, set out on a 4x4 desert ride to explore the dramatic landscapes, shifting sands and towering rock formations of this ancient wilderness.
- Overnight in Wadi Rum in a standard tent.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included
DAY 5: WADI RUM → AQABA (198 MILES)
After breakfast in the camp, take in the final moments of Wadi Rum’s timeless beauty, where wind and water have shaped monumental sandstone towers that seem untouched by time. Then continue towards Aqaba, Jordan’s sun-filled Red Sea resort, known for its warm waters, coral reefs and relaxed coastal ambience.
On arrival, enjoy free time and lunch at leisure. Aqaba is an ideal stop for unwinding, swimming, and enjoying the area’s rich marine life beneath the shimmering surface of the Red Sea.
- Overnight in Aqaba.
- Breakfast & dinner included
DAY 6: AQABA
After breakfast, enjoy a full day to experience Aqaba, the country’s only coastal city. By day, visitors stroll through the old town, swim in crystal-clear waters and observe schools of colourful fish in some of the Red Sea’s most vibrant reefs. Surrounded by blue seas and ochre mountains, the city offers a modern, lively contrast to the desert landscapes of the previous days.

Enjoy lunch at the lowest dining spot in the world, then settle into your hotel and take time to relax, swim, or enjoy the peaceful desert views surrounding the coastline.

Petra
Carved deep into a desert canyon and glowing with its iconic rose-red hues, Petra is one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological treasures. Once the thriving capital of the Nabataean kingdom, this ancient city reveals a labyrinth of temples, tombs and rock-cut façades sculpted over 2,000 years ago. Approached through the narrow Siq, Petra unveils its most famous masterpiece, Al-Khazneh, the Treasury - shimmering like a mirage in the shifting light. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra offers an unforgettable journey into history and mystery.

Local cafés serve warming teas infused with sage, while desert camps offer sweet pastries and freshly baked flatbread under star-filled skies.

Beyond its famous monuments, Petra reveals quieter wonders. Trek to the High Place of Sacrifice for sweeping views, wander through the Colonnaded Street, or explore lesser-known trails once used by nomadic tribes. For a deeper cultural connection, spend time with local Bedouin guides who share stories of life in the desert and the history of their ancestors who once inhabited the caves around Petra.
