Your Itinerary In Detail

Days 1-4

Day 1: UK- Amman (Dinner)

You will be met at Queen Alia international airport by our representative, holding a KEPLER sign, who will assist you in any way that they can. You will be transferred to your hotel in Amman for check-in.

Overnight in Amman.

Day 2: Amman - Jerash – Amman (Breakfat, Lunch & Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of the city of Jerash. It is the second-largest site in Jordan after Petra. Today, it is considered one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Near East. Hidden under the sand for several centuries, it was discovered and restored over 70 years.

The city was built entirely of pinkish-orange limestone, magnified by the sun's rays at dawn and at sunset. You can admire the treasures of this Roman city with its colonnaded streets, huge temples and theatres, thermal baths and fountains as well as its pierced walls. After lunch, return to Amman.

Enjoy a city tour to discover the secrets of the Jordanian capital. Built on seven hills, between the desert and the Jordan Valley, Amman takes its name from the Ammonites, descendants of Abraham. On the largest of these hills, you will enjoy an incredible view of the city of Amman and the treasures of its historic centre, such as its citadel and its Roman acropolis. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Overnight in Amman.

Day 3: Amman –Madaba –Mont Nébo – Kérak – Pétra (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Kings' Road to visit Madaba. Also called the city of mosaics, this Byzantine bishopric has 14 churches of major artistic value, which also housed an extraordinary school of mosaicists. You will discover the Church of St. George in Madaba with its map of Palestine unearthed in 1898 during the construction of the church. This mosaic from the middle of the 6th century, barely altered, traces the geography of the Byzantine Near East.

Then you will visit Mount Nebo, 10 km northwest of Madaba. Moses left the plains of Moab and climbed to the top of Mount Nebo. At an altitude of 840m, the mountain became a place of universal pilgrimage from the beginning of the Christian era.

Before leaving this city, you will have a short visit to one of the mosaic workshops. You will then continue to the city of Kerak and have lunch.

Then visit the Crusader fortress built around 1140 under the direction of Payen the Beller, the Crusaders called it the Krak of the Moabites. The fortress is located on the south side of a rocky plateau and is a fine example of Crusader architecture mixing European, Byzantine and Arab styles. Continue to Petra via the desert road. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Overnight in Petra

Day 4: Petra (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a full-day tour of Petra, the pink city. Geology is at the centre of the history of the red city, entirely carved in soft sandstone. What is reflected on the site today is the work of man over the past ten thousand years. Nearly 800 monuments are scattered over 100 km2 of Petra. It is the Eighth Wonder of the World, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and is the most famous site in Jordan and the Middle East.

You will cross the Siq, a narrow and long fault line caused by a prehistoric earthquake. At the end of the Siq, stands the most majestic monument of Petra, "Al Khazneh" or the "Treasure" with its Greco-Roman decoration. This city is breathtakingly beautiful. Beyond the Treasury, there are hundreds of sculpted buildings, temples, royal tombs, baths, arched gateways, cobbled streets and above all the Roman Theatre with about 3000 seats.

You will cross the Roman Cardo and visit the "Qasr El Bint", the only temple still standing and in a remarkable state of preservation. Lunch at the site's restaurant.

Afternoon free, climb to the El Deir Monastery to admire the masterpiece of the site, 'The Monastery' (if your physical condition allows you to do so). Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Overnight in Petra.

Days 5-8

Day 5: Petra – Little Petra - Wadi Rum (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel and leave for 'Little Petra', for one last visit to this majestic site! You will then take the road to the Wadi Rum desert. If Petra is the result of man's work combined with that of nature, the cliffs, peaks and valleys of Wadi Rum owe their serene beauty and overwhelming grandeur only to themselves. This site is one of the places of the Great Arab Revolt, which was memorably depicted in the film Lawrence of Arabia, directed by David Lean.

Lunch in a Bedouin camp and discover Bedouin hospitality and gastronomy. In the afternoon, you will go for a drive in a 4X4 vehicle to admire the splendour of the thousand-year-old desert of Wadi Rum. Dinner and overnight at the Eco-Lodge.

Overnight in Wadi Rum.

Day 6: Wadi Rum – Aqaba (Breakfast & Dinner)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Aqaba. Aqaba is a splendid seaside resort in Jordan and is a particularly sunny city perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Red Sea. Lunch at your own expense and a free day to enjoy the facilities of the hotel, visit the city and do some shopping.

Optional Excursion: Yacht trip to Aqaba for 4 hours with lunch.

Overnight in Aqaba.

Day 7: Aqaba – Dead Sea (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Breakfast and departure for the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at 417 meters below sea level and recognized as the world's richest treasure of natural salts! Rich in minerals, this water is reputed to help soothe various ailments. It is also known for its buoyancy because of its high salt content. The Dead Sea is not only a sightseeing tour but also a visit to relax and bathe on the shores of this unusual sea. Lunch at the lowest point in the world. Dinner and overnight at the hotel on the Dead Sea.

Overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 8: Dead Sea - QAIA Airport

Transfer to Queen Alia international airport and flight back to the UK.

Jordan

Full to the brim with epic scenery, ancient history, captivating cities and bucketlist attractions, Jordan is a popular tourist destination that offers its guests a true immersion into the charms of the Middle East.

While Jordan offers a variety of spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sites, none are more beloved than Petra, a fascinating archaeological city that sits within a mountain gorge and features beautiful 'rose-tinted' stone. Frequently referred to as one of the seven new Wonders of the World, this architectural masterpiece is a must-stop spot on any tourist's itinerary in Jordan.

For those hoping to escape the arid climate of the desert, take advantage of Jordan's coastline with a visit to the Dead Sea.
