Your Destinations

Indonesia's spectacular island province Bali is an increasingly popular tourist destination across the world. This unique island draws visitors from far and wide to its temples, beaches and jungles. Renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music, it is both the perfect location for culture lovers and those in need of an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Surrounded by small coral reefs, dotted with picturesque mountain ranges, and covered with a lush layer of greenery, Bali provides tourists with some of the best landscapes on the planet. Its wide diversity ensures it caters to a multitude of needs and desires, and its hospitality drives guests back again and again.

Ubud

Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, home to many artists studios, museums and traditional souvenirs. Being almost right at the centre of the island, swathes of rice paddies, an active volcano and lush forest cover the surrounding landscapes, adding to the immersive experience of visiting the 'real' and more traditional part of the island.

Undisan

Undisan is a unique area within Bali, known for its towering green cliffs, moss-covered caves and intriguing local life. Discover the local rice fields, traditional farming, explore the nearby waterfalls or get immersed in day-to-day living. This rural area is a true representation of a Balinese village.

Legian

Legian boasts one of the best strips of coastline for surfing across the globe. Diehard surfers travel here from around the world to mount the monster waves and beginners find the ideal spot to start a life-long passion. Also famed for its fantastic snorkelling and diving, watersports lovers are in their element in Kuta. The dining and bar scene in nearby Seminyak is also well known for being outstanding, with chic sunset view bars and world-class gourmet restaurants lining the shores of the most popular tourist spots.

From there, continue onto Bedugul. This idyllic mountain village is located on Lake Bratan. Due to its higher altitude and cooler weather, Bedugul is Bali’s agricultural centre for vegetables so you will visit its Botanical gardens and fresh market. Afterwards, enjoy your set menu lunch at a local private retreat by the lake, which is now open to the public.
At the end of your lunch, take a short walk to the shore of the lake and then board a traditional 'Jukung' boat for a short paddle to reach the Ulun Danu Temple. You will discover this magnificent water temple from a different angle. See the temple from the distance standing proudly on the lake. Day 4: Ubud – Barong Dance – Ubud Market – Private Picnic Lunch At Tjampuhan – Keliki – Gunung Kawi – Umah Bali
Depart from your hotel and proceed to explore the Ubud area. First stop is at Batubulan Village to witness probably the most well-known dance in Bali - Barong. This storytelling dance narrates the fight between good and evil. The barong is a mythological lionlike creature, leader of the hosts of good, and the enemy of Rangda, the demon queen. All performers wear beautifully decorated colourful masks.
Then drive onwards to Ubud's most popular traditional market. Withing the streets from the market to the famous Monkey Forest, you will discover many unique shops and stalls selling a myriad of traditional trinkets and gifts.

Get back into your car and proceed for a delicious picnic luncheon served on the edge of The Tjampuhan Hill. A scattering of colourful cushions are provided for you to lie back and enjoy the gentle beauty of this tranquil setting. This is your chance to indulge in a selection of gourmet treats including garden salads, mini sandwiches, individual quiches and other homemade goodies.

Afterwards, visit Gunung Kawi Temple located at Tampak Siring village situated in Pakerisan River, an archaeological complex carved out of the living rock, dating back to 11th century. The temple offers a beautiful view of lush greenery and as you follow the footpath down, you will reach the temple passing through spectacular rice terraces along the way. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in the Undisan area.

Afterwards, explore and discover what it is like to be a Balinese traditional farmer. You will learn how to plough the rice field by using traditional machiner pulled by a pair of cows/buffalo for the planting of the rice seeds. Enjoy a fresh young coconut water and lunch in the hut in the middle of the rice fields.

Continue with soft trekking around the rice fields and visit Dalem Temple and Waterfall. You will also visit a silver and goldsmith workshop that produced jewellery for local Balinese dancers, Balinese brides & grooms.
