India, though taking impressive strides towards urbanization and industrialization, still has locales where the concepts of Yoga & Meditation are an integral part of human life. We will take you to the vicinity of Yoga Capital Rishikesh, Holi city of Varanasi while discovering the mesmerizing beauty of Taj Mahal and discovering the charm of the capital city of Delhi.
Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Fly into Delhi where you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel where you can relax after your long flight (approx. travel time: 10 minutes).
Overnight in Delhi.
Enjoy breakfast and then embark on a city tour of New Delhi that will take you to highlights such as Laxmi Narayan Temple (The Place of Gods), India Gate (The memorial of martyrs), Parliament House (The Government headquarters).
The afternoon will be devoted to Old Delhi and you will be taken to The Red Fort and The Gandhi memorial and, finally, visit Akshardham Temple. In the evening there will be a special session with a Scholar who will give a comprehensive talk on India’s culture, history and eco-social structure.
Overnight in Delhi.
Please note: The Red Fort in Delhi is closed every Monday.
Today you will visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to emperors until the 1600s, its red sandstone battlements hide a palace that tell the story of the Moghul Empire. Then it is onto the iconic Taj Mahal, this ivory-marble structure built to immortalise the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan's beloved wife. Return to Delhi.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then catch your train to Haridwar. There will be a city tour in the afternoon followed by a grand viewing of Ashrams, some of which are internationally recognised as centres of Philosophical Studies, Yoga and meditation.
Check into the Ashram and then spend the afternoon learning about the daily programme. In the evening you will visit Haridwar for Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri.
Overnight in Rishikesh.
Day 5-6: A Day at the Ashram
Spend a day finding inner peace at the Ashram. A typical day looks like the following:
7.00- 8.00 am Pranayama, Surya/Chandra Namaskara (Sun/Moon Salutations), Meditation
10:00-10:40 am Vedic Chanting / Mantra Yoga
10:40-11:30 am Yoga in the Bhagavad Gita / Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
3:30-4:30 pm Yoga Asana Class4:30-5:00 pm Meditation
5:30-6:30pm Ganga puja & Aarti
8:00-8:30pm Meditation / Yoga Nidra
Overnight in Rishikesh.
Day 7: Rishikesh - Varanasi
Enjoy breakfast and then drive to Delhi Airport (approx. travel time: 5 hours). Take an internal flight to Varanasi and transfer to your hotel upon arrival (approx. travel time: 35 minutes).
Overnight in Varanasi.
In the early morning, you’ll take a ride in a boat across the holy river Ganges to see the spiritual baths in the ghats and the burning places. Return to the hotel to have breakfast. After that, you’ll walk around the little streets of Varanasi Old Town visiting: the Bharat Mata temple, Banaras Hindu University, the Vishwanath temple and Ghats.
Varanasi is a holy city and seems to be the oldest existing city in the world. In the afternoon visit the historic Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon, other highlights include the Ashoka Pillar, archaeological museum and the Dhamekh Stupa. Attend the Aarti performance on the Bank Holy Ganges in the evening.
Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport into for your flight back to Delhi. From here you can catch your flight home.

Delhi: 3 nights in a Double Room in Lemon Tree Premier 4*.
Rishikesh: 3 nights in a Double Room at Parmarth Ashram or Shivananda Ashram.
Varanasi: 2 nights in a Double Room at The Amayaa 4*.
If any of these hotels are not available, hotels of a similar standard will be found.
