Your Itinerary —
Day 2 – Breakfast at Hotel with the morning at your leisure and a City tour of Cochin and dinner in the afternoon/evening
Cochin is a melting pot of cultures which have been influenced by visitors since 3000BC thanks to the spice trade. Today you will see evidence of this on your city tour:
Dutch Palace, originally built by the Portuguese. Later in 17th century they modified it & presented it to the Raja (King) of Kochi (Cochin). The Palace has a fine collection of mural paintings depicting scenes from Hindu epics, Mahabharata & Ramayana.

Jewish Synagogue :- The synagogue was built in 1568 A.D. The Great scrolls of Old Testament and a number of copper plates inscribed in the Hebrew Script are preserved in this Synagogue. The Jewish Synagogue in Kochi stands out as a Testimony for the communal harmony in the state For centuries

Visit St. Francis Church, built in the year 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan Friars & known to be the oldest European church in India. It was restored in the year 1779 by the protestant Dutch, converted to an Anglican Church by the British in 1795. Vasco da Gama's remains were buried here in 1524 & later moved to Lisbon, Portugal.
Chinese fishing nets, (Cheenavala) are distinctly unique to Cochin. It is believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets here.
Evening Kathakali Dance: This evening you will be taken to watch this mesmerizing performance. At first you will spend time watching the actors prepare themselves which includes their extensive makeup and an explanation of some of the gestures which make up the dance. Then you can sit back and enjoy this ancient ritual dance.
Return back to Hotel. Dinner at Hotel.
OVERNIGHT AT COCHIN.
Munnar is located in the mountains ranges of the South Western Ghats. You will climb up through the clouds almost to this spectacular location. Stopping en route to take pictures of the amazing scenery of Kerala spread out before you.

Day 4- After breakfast enjoy a City Sightseeing of Munnar
Visit the World’s highest Tea Estates spread like a green carpet over hundred of kilometers, Lush green hills all around – a place to be seen to be believed.
Tea Museum – Here you will learn the history of this very British of drinks, from early techniques to the modern day processes and how it has shaped this part of the world.

Periyar is a unique National Park in India, set high in the famous Cardamom Hills, with an abundance of wildlife from the illusive tiger to elephants, bison and a variety of deer, your viewing platform will not be a jeep or even on land, but from a boat on the lake, giving you the opportunity to see these animals from a new perspective.
Spice Plantation; Learn about the rich spices which has influenced Kerala for thousands of years attracting visitors from all over the world. Do you know your spices? Here you will have the chance to smell and taste a variety of spices and guess what they are.

Day 6 - Early morning you can proceed to enjoy the Boat Ride provided inside the wild life sanctuary where by sitting inside the boat you have the option to see the wild animals freely roams inside the forest, return back to the hotel for breakfast.
Visit Elephant Camp where you can spend time with the trained elephants, you can enjoy the activities like elephant ride and timber dragging and photo session at the Camp.
Later, you can Enjoy the traditional Kalaripayattu Art Show.
Kalaripayattu – an ancient Indian Martial art and considered one of the oldest fighting systems in existence. Incorporating strikes, kicks, grapples, and weaponry as well as healing techniques. This is a real spectacle to witness.

OVERNIGHT AT THEKKADY.
Driving back down from the hills you arrive in Alleppey and board your houseboat, locally called a Kettuvallam to commence your cruise on the beautiful lake Vembanad. This lake offers you a peace and tranquility like no other cruise, your houseboat will have a comfortable lounge area outside under the shade of the core roof where you can feel the gentle breeze coming off the lake. You will enjoy a relaxing lunch on board of traditional Kerala cuisine.
Once you have crossed the lake you enter into the backwaters where you will see temples, churches and local life unfolding on the banks, wave to the locals and you will receive a warm smile and a big wave back, watch children playing in the water while their parents go about their day to day tasks.
In the evening the houseboat will moored on the banks of the backwaters close to a village for the night as cruising on the waterways is not permitted. Your crew will stay on board to ensure that you have the most relaxing and pleasant evening and nights sleep.

Day 11 - Transfer from Kovalam Hotel to Trivandrum Airport for flight back to UK.
