Your Itinerary in Detail —
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
- Meet the representative and transfer to the hotel for check-in
- Enjoy some free time to relax or explore the surrounding area
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
- Departure for the visit of Old Delhi
- You will see the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid one of the largest mosques in the world, Chandni Chowk the shopping district and the heart of the old city, the Raj Ghat
- Then discover New Delhi: Humayun's tomb and some must-see monuments such as the government buildings and the Gateway to India...
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur (280 km / approx. 6 hours)
- Drive to Jaipur (the pink city, the colour of hospitality)
- Arrive and check into your hotel in Jaipur
- Take advantage of your free time to stroll through the market or relax
- Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Jaipur
- Set off to explore the city of Jaipur
- Stop off in front of the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, to admire its baroque façade and its fanciful yet functional architecture
- Next, immerse yourself in Amber Fort, home of the Maharajahs
- In a 4x4 jeep, you will climb up to the ramparts before entering the palace
- There could be a possibility of attending the Puja at the Kali temple. Puja is a time of prayer according to Hindu rites. You can only enter the temple barefoot and without leather goods.
- Visit to the "Jantar Mantar" astronomical observatory, testimony to Maharaja Jaisingh Ii's passion for astronomy.
- Rickshaw ride through the old city.
Day 5: Jaipur - Fathepur Sikri - Agra (235 km / approx. 6 hours)
- Depart from the hotel for Agra.
- En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city built entirely by Emperor Akbar in 1569, but abandoned 14 years later due to water supply problems
- You will discover Buland Darwaja, the 54-metre-high Gate of Victory. The Jami Masjid mosque and the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, as well as the Panch Mahal, a curious pyramid-shaped edifice that resembles the teepees of the ancient Roman Empire.
Day 7: Agra - Delhi (240km / approx. 5h) and flight Delhi - Kathmandu
- Drive to Delhi and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu
- Nepal is a mountainous country that stretches across the Himalayas, but it offers much more than mountains. The Kathmandu Valley alone is home to seven of Nepal's ten UNESCO-designated World Heritage Sites.
- On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in.
- The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8: Kathmandu
- On this day you can opt for an optional morning flight over the Himalayas (which can be added at the next stage of booking)
- Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square with a tour of Bahal, Swyambhunath and Patan Durbar Square.
- This visit will take you to the most beautiful specimen of temples in Kathmandu Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Historic temples and monuments, including the Taleju, Bhairav, Kasthamandap and Kumari Temple (the house of the living goddess), are located around the square. There is also a museum that is a huge archive of the country's history.
- Later, you'll visit Asan, an ancient local market in central Kathmandu
Day 9 : Kathmandu - Namobuddha - Bhaktapur
- Drive to the small village of NamoBuddha
- Discover the Thrangu Tashi Yantse monastery (home to around 250 monks) and the Namo Buddha Stupa, at the bottom of the monastery hill. You will hike 2 km to reach the monastery
- For total immersion, you can take part in prayers, and meditations and interact with the monks
- You will then make your way to Panauti (a 3 to 4-hour hike, depending on the weather)
- The village of Panauti lies in a peaceful valley about six kilometres south of Banepa. Relatively untouched by modernisation, you will be immersed in all that is most traditional about Nepal
- Sample the local food with a traditional lunch at a local's home in Panauti
Please note: The host families only offer Nepalese food, but your hosts will be happy to cater to your dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, etc)
- Drive to Bhaktapur (20 km)
- Arrival at the hotel, check-in
- Walk around the town of Bhaktapur to witness the lifestyle and evening life of the locals.
Day 10: Bhaktapur - Kathmandu (approx. 30 mins)
- Drive back to Kathmandu
- En route, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square
- A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this square features some of the valley's most charming architectural masterpieces and showcases some of Nepal's finest medieval art. Here you can admire the magnificent Lion Gate, the Golden Gate and statues of kings on stone monoliths
- Later, visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath
- Pashupatinath, located on the banks of the Baghmati River about 8 km from the city, is one of the holiest Hindu shrines. Its temple is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu, but only Hindus are allowed to enter
- Boudhanath (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is the centre of Tibetan culture in Nepal. The 36-metre-high Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest in South Asia.
Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu (by international flight)
- You will be transferred to the international airport for your return flight

Flying over the Himalayas - Khatmandu

Mountain flights offer the closest possible aerial views of Everest, Kanchenjunga and the Tibetan plateau. Twice the size of the Alps, their immensity is breathtaking. Mountain flights cater for all categories of travellers and have become a popular tourist attraction in Nepal. The 45-minute flight offers incredible panoramic views, and you can take a photo of the world's highest mountain from the cockpit.
