Day 1: Dehli
Your grand journey commences in the evening, with a magnificent ceremonial welcome aboard the illustrious Palace on Wheels train. The capital city of modern India, Delhi, is celebrated for its rich and exotic history, setting the stage for an extraordinary adventure.
As you embark on your regal odyssey, take the time to explore, enjoying a drink in the train's lounge-bar. As twilight descends, the adventure begins...
Itinerary:
4pm: Report to Safdarjung Railway Station to complete check-in formalities
5pm: After being issued your boarding pass, be escorted to your cabin by an attendant and enjoy a small tour and welcome drink
6.30pm: Departure
8pm: Dinner is served in the restaurant car
Day 2: Jaipur
Embark on a transcendent journey through the gilded streets of Jaipur, the resplendent Pink City that has proudly stood since 1727. Bathed in a captivating blush of pink, Rajastan's vibrant capital is home to glittering jewellery, vibrant textiles, and culinary excellence. Explore Jaipur's cobbled streets and elegant archways, and discover the city's past.

4.30am: Arrive at Gandhinagar Railway Station, Jaipur, on platform number 2
7am: Breakfast is served in the comfort of your sleeper cabin
8.15am: Depart for sightseeing in an air-conditioned coach. Drive past the Palace of Winds, a remarkable five-story building with delicate honey-combed sandstone windows. Visit Jantar Mantar - the largest observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II, and City Palace, home of the former royal family. Shop Jaipur’s famous jewellery, handicrafts, carpets, blue pottery, and textiles

DAY 3: RANTHAMBORE TIGER RESERVE & CHITTORGARH FORT
Your next destination is Sawai Madhopur, named after the illustrious maharaja Sawai Madho Singh i. Nestled in close proximity to the legendary Ranthambore national park, this 394 sq km region offers a captivating glimpse of a diverse tapestry of wildlife. Here, the mighty tiger reigns supreme.
The journey continues to Chittorgarh, an ancient fortress and a sacred haven for the rajputs.
Itinerary:
6.50am: Arrive at Sawai Madhopur
7am: Visit Ranthambor National Park, home to tigers, hyenas, ratels, jackals, foxes, and over 300 species of birds
9.30am: Breakfast onboard the Palace on Wheels
11.30am: Depart for Chittorgarh
1pm: Lunch onboard
4.35pm: Sightseeing in Chittorgarh, with a sound and light show at the majestic Chittorgarh Fort
7.15pm: Coach back to Palace on Wheels, with dinner served onboard. The Palace on Wheels will stay in Chittorgarh station until an early morning departure for Udaipur
Day 4: Udaipur
Your journey continues to Udaipur, named after the dynamic ruler Rana Udai Singh, but also nicknamed the "City of Lakes". In the afternoon, enjoy a painting class and a lunch cruise. Glide across the serene waters of Lake Pichola to Jag Mandir, a historical marvel situated in the heart of the lake.

6.30am: Arrive in Udaipur and have breakfast onboard
8am: Sightseeing coach tour to Saheliyon Ki Bari, a majestic garden. Visit the City Palace, and admire the main entrance, a triple-arched gate built in 1725

DAY 5: JAISALMER
Arrive in Jaisalmer, India's resplendent "Golden City." Founded in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, its name itself translates to "the hill fort of Jaisal," hinting at the magnificent structure that would become its crown jewel. Jaisalmer sprawls majestically in the heart of the Thar Desert, the world's largest sand desert region. Bathed in the warm hues of the desert sun, the sandstone architecture of Jaisalmer takes on an almost magical glow.
In the evening, enjoy a special dinner under the vast desert sky. As twilight descends, the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort comes alive with illuminations.

9.30am: Arrive at Jaisalmer and discover the painstakingly latticed Havelis or mansions with their grand facades. Visit the Gadisar Lake

Arrive in Jodhpur, founded in 1459 by the Rajput king, and Rajasthan's second-largest city. As you arrive in historic Mandor, the Royal Brass Band of Mehrangarh Fort will herald your arrival with a rousing fanfare.
Explore the magnificent forts and palaces, the exquisite stonework and delicate designs, and intricately carved latticed windows – a testament to the city's rich artistic heritage. A captivating indigo hue washes over the entire city, earning it the moniker "Blue City."

Arrive in Bharatpur, a 17th century city known as "The Iron Fort". Take an expedition to Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vibrant haven is a paradise for birdwatchers, and is home to Siberian cranes, graceful storks, herons, kingfishers, partridges, bee-eaters, and more.
Your journey continues to Agra, nestled on the banks of the Yamuna River since 1504. Its most iconic structure is the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Walk through iits beautifully landscaped gardens and approach the majestic dome, captivated by its scale and beauty.

5am: Arrive in Bharatpur
6am: Depart for Ghana Bird Sanctuary by coach
6.30am: Arrive at the sanctuary and take a cycle rikshaw around the park
8.15am: Coach to a hotel for breakfast
9.20am: Board the Palace on Wheels and depart for Agra
11.45am: Arrive at Agra Cantt Railway station
12.15am: Depart for sightseeing by coach, with a visit to the Red Fort included

First visit Old Delhi, including Raj Ghat, a memorial to Gandhi, Jama Masjid mosque, and a drive past the Red Fort, a World Heritage Site that is 2km in length. Continue to New Delhi to see modern India, built from the legacy of British colonial rule. Visit Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India, and drive past the India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, the President’s residence.
