Your destination

Goa

With palm fringed beaches, picturesque landscapes and hidden coves, Goa is a land of dreams that will forever leave its stamp on your memory. The Portuguese came to Goa in search of spices. Given the sheer beauty of the landscape, they stayed here for almost 400 years, making it the eastern capital of the Portuguese colonial empire.

Nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats, this former Portuguese colony bears witness to a glorious past with churches and sumptuous hillside villas. Goa is a fresco of colours and aromas that maintains its festive traditions and joie de vivre. An oriental pearl that combines white sandy beaches, dense vegetation, delicious cuisine and a friendly and smiling population, Goa will enchant you!

New Delhi

A trip to New Delhi, India's dynamic capital, will introduce you to teeming bazaars, tree-lined boulevards, fascinating temples and historically important mosques. Somewhere between a place of intense spirituality and a dynamic eastern metropolis, this city offers something for all its visitors.

Its turbulent history is reflected in a wide variety of architectural styles, which testify to how the city has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. To see an example of the city's diverse cultural heritage, visit the Qutab Minar. This sandstone and marble brick minaret marked the beginning of Muslim rule in India. A short distance away, walkable by rickshaw, is the Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan), where you can see the English and Indian architectural influences that characterise much of New Delhi. Walking along Rajpath Avenue (the King's Way), one can admire the Gateway of India, the monument to the Indian nation.

Agra

Agra, situated just 200 kilometres south of Delhi, is renowned for its breathtaking Taj Mahal, an iconic symbol of eternal love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This enchanting city draws millions of travellers each year, eager to witness its architectural marvels.

Once the heart of the Mughal Empire from 1556 to 1658, Agra boasts a rich tapestry of history and grandeur. Explore the majestic Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the exquisite Mausoleum of Itimad-ud-Daulah, known as the "Baby Taj." Each monument offers a glimpse into the opulent past and artistic brilliance of the Mughal era.

Your day of departure is fast approaching? You can hardly wait, can you? Before you fly to that faraway land, there are a few things that are good to know:

Be proactive and wear shoes that you can easily take off to save time when visiting temples.

As for clothing, you should know one thing. Bare legs are not welcomed (especially for women) and shorts are strongly discouraged....

In Sikh temples, even the men have to cover their heads. In Jain temples, no leather items (bags, belts, etc.) may be worn, at least not visibly.

At all religious sites, you take off your shoes and leave them in the care of an employee at the entrance, whom you thank with a few rupees (2-5).

Indulge in culinary delights... India boasts an impressive array of delicious recipes to with which to tantalise your palate. Enjoy delicacies such as Bhuna, Dhansak, Dopiaza, Karahi, incorporating spices, yoghurt and meat such as chicken and lamb. Just take care not to overdo it, especially with the sugary sweet treats!

General Information:

Best time to visit India is from October to March when the temperature starts getting milder. The temperature ranges from a minimum of 10°C to a maximum of 23°C. December and January are much cooler, with potential fog in the northern part of India. From April to September, the weather becomes hot and humid in most parts of India with temperature ranging from minimum of 25°C to a maximum of 47°C.

All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad. All Individual visa seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Visa through Online application in order to make an application for getting the Indian visa.

When packing for travel to India, select a wardrobe that is adaptable and allows for layering. In India, delicate fabrics do not stand up well to laundering facilities except at deluxe hotels. Plain cotton or cotton and synthetic blend clothing is the most practical and is the coolest in summer. It is best to avoid synthetic fabrics that do not “breathe”. A hat with a wide brim will help protect you from the harsh sun. During the fall season, a collapsible umbrella comes in handy. During the winter months, sweaters and light jackets are necessary. We advise you not to dress in shorts, mini-skirts or tank tops unless you are on a beach. In small towns and cities, people may tend to stare if you expose too much skin. Most Indians dress in modest clothing.
