Your 8-Night Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi 
Arrival to Delhi’s Airport. Welcome by your English-speaking guide. Transfer to the hotel. Take the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of Old Delhi. You will see The Red Fort, the Jama Masjid one of the largest mosques in the world, Chandni Chowk the shopping district and heart of the old city, the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Then discover New Delhi at the Humayun Tomb, built in the middle of the 16th century by Haji Begum, Humayun's wife, the second great Mogul. Humayun's wife lies in a tomb of red and white sandstone and black and yellow marble. Night at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Udaipur
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight for Udaipur. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputana. The province of Mewar became part of Rajasthan after the independence of India. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Udaipur
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit of Udaipur, in the morning you can admire the City Palace, Sahelion Ki Bari (Garden of maids of honour) and Jagdish Temple. The City Palace is a complex of many palaces built in 1559 to be the main palace of the dynasty of the Rajput Sisodia. It is located atop a hill on the eastern shore of lake Pichola. Its architecture is a mix of Rajput and Mughal. It offers a magnificent view on the lake and its islands, as well as the Lake Palace. The Sahelion ki bari a garden with fountains, kiosks, a pond of lotuses and elephants in marble. Its name means garden of the maidens. The Jagdish temple dates back to 1651 and is dedicated to lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe. It is considered to be the largest temple in the city. It is equipped with carved pillars, decorated ceilings and painted walls and rooms, and the arrow (Shikhar) is a measure of the main temple 24 meters high, and is richly decorated. You can make a boat tour (not private) on the Lake Pichola, depending on the level of the water. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Udaipur - Pushkar - Jaipur
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure towards Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Visit during the tour of Pushkar including the Brahma Temple and the Pushkar Lake. Continue to Jaipur and check-in at hotel upon arrival. Jaipur is crowned by a huge battlemented wall that blocks the tides of human that animate the most fascinating part of the turbulent metropolis of Rajasthan, with its bazaar and its sumptuous temples. It was built in the XVI century by Maharaja Jaisingh Ji according to the ideal plan outlined in the Arthashasthra hindu for which the city should be in the image of the cosmos, and reflect, in the distribution of the inhabitants, in the social order of varnas and castes. So, the city was drawn inside a square, surrounded by walls with 9 gates, and is divided into 9 quarters, each of which had a specific function. Arrival and check-in at hotel in Jaipur. Free time at your disposal.

Day 6: Jaipur
Breakfast in the hotel. Day sightseeing of Jaipur. Stand in front of the wind palace "Hawa Mahal" by the baroque facade and with an architecture that is both fanciful and functional, which has allowed the women of the courtyard to contemplate the spectacle of the street, far from prying eyes. You will continue to Amber Fort, the home of the Maharajah and always ready for war. Seeing the strong defense that surround the place, you can imagine the power of the Maharajas. You will come to the ramparts on elephant or 4x4. Visit of the palace with its rooms with mirrors and the old harem, a maze. You will have the opportunity to participate in the Puja in the Kali Temple. Puja is the time of prayers according to the rites of the hindu. You can enter in the temple only naked feet and without leather-clad. You will visit the astronomical observatory "Jantar Mantar", the witness of the passion of Maharaja Jaisingh II for astronomy. The Maharajah has built several observatories, including that of Jaipur (1728-1733). These tools monumental let you read the latitudes, the longitudes and the distances between the celestial bodies, the time corresponding to the meridian of Jaipur. Ride in a Rickshaw (pedicab) through the old city. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Jaipur – Fathepur Sikri - Agra (235 Kms +- 6h).
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by road to Agra with en route, visit Fathepur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is located 37 km west of Agra. A red-sandstone city entirely made by Emperor Akbar in 1569, then abandoned 14 years later because of difficulties in water supply.

You will discover Buland Darwaja, the gate of victory, 54 m high. The Jami Masjid Mosque and the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti the saint who predicts the birth of Akbar's son, the future Emperor Jehangir. The Panch Mahal, curious pyramidal-shaped building that resembles Buddhist temples. Continue to Agra. Night at the hotel.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi 
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the famous Taj Mahal, this moving Mughal Mausoleum which is the tourist emblem of India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his second wife Mumtaz Mahal. His death in childbirth in 1631 broke the heart of the emperor, whose hair turned gray in one night. The construction of the Taj Mahal was undertaken the same year to be completed in 1653. The workers, 20,000 in all, were recruited throughout India and Central Asia. The principal architect would have been Isa Khan, from Shiraz (Iran). Experts from Europe were also brought in: Austin from Bordeaux and Verono from Venice participated in the decoration. Then visit the Agra Fort. In the afternoon departure for Delhi. Delhi arrival and accommodation in hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: Delhi - departure
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the return flight.

Day 2: Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for the visit of the old city. You will see The Red Fort, one of the largest mosques in the world, Chandni Chowk, the shopping district and the heart of the old town, the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. You will discover then New Delhi. You will visit the Qutub Minar, an extraordinary minaret built in 1199, which is the world's largest minaret (72,55 m) where you will find the reproduction of the verses of the Qur'an on each of the first three floors built in red sandstone. You'll also find government buildings and the Square, Connaught. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Jodhpur
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight for Jodhpur. Arrival and accommodation in hotel at Jodhpur. In the afternoon, sightseeing of Jodhpur, also called the "blue city". Jodhpur is located in the heart of the desert, a city nestled at the foot of a fortress, a huge millstone sandstone red dark where the forces of many conquerors wear. Visit the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort, which takes its name from its current owner, the Maharajah of Jodhpur. Built on top of a hill overlooking the city, opens with a succession of seven monumental gates. On one of the iron gates, you will discover the handprints of the widows of Maharadjah Man Singh, who sacrificed themselves on his funeral pyre in 1843. Visit the Jaswant Thada, the royal mausoleum of white marble Maharajah Singh II built in 1899. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4: Jodhpur - Udaipur
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, you will travel to Udaipur, with a stop in Ranakpur to visit the Jain temples. (Open from 12.00 to 16.00 - The guide will not be able to enter the inside of the temples, but an audio guide will be available). The temples of Ranakpur, dating back to the 15th century, are recognised around the world for their beautiful architecture and complex. Are one of the five great places of pilgrimage for the Jain. It is located about 95 km north of Udaipur. Arrival in Udaipur and check-in at hotel upon arrival. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar Rajputan. The province of Mewar became part of Rajasthan after the independence of India. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Udaipur

You will visit the Great Mosque, with the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, the House of the Jewel, also called The Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Hearings) containing the pillar of Akbar. Arrival and accommodation in hotel in Agra. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Agra - Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. You will visit the world famous Taj Mahal, this Mughal mausoleum is the epitome of tourism in India. It was built by the emperor Shah Jahan, in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Her death in childbirth in 1631, he broke the heart of the emperor, whose hair became gray in a night. Entry Requirements 

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on. 

You’ll need to get a visa before travelling to India. You can find further information about how to apply on the Indian High Commission website.

India’s Bureau of Immigration has announced that with immediate effect, foreign nationals who arrive at an Indian port holding non-machine readable passports will be denied entry. 

To transit through India you will need a transit visa. You can find more information on the Indian Immigration Bureau website.

All applicants of Pakistani origin who hold dual British-Pakistan nationality must apply for an Indian visa on their Pakistan passport. Those who have either renounced Pakistani nationality or cancelled their Pakistani passport would need to submit documentary proof of this.

Mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue Fever occur all year round. There’s been an increase in the number of cases of dengue fever, including in New Delhi.
