Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrival, assistance (in English), and transfer to hotel in Delhi.
Free time to explore. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 2: DELHI - MANDAWA
Breakfast. Head to Mandawa, founded in 1755, known for its havelis. These splendid mansions are decorated with paintings and patterns, that extend from the porches onto the walls and even the ceilings and windowsills. Being in the town is like being in an open-air art gallery! Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 3: MANDAWA - BIKANER
Breakfast. Leave for Bikaner, for a visit to the old town. You'll see plenty of camels in this desert town. We’ll also visit the impressive Junagarh Fort and the Rat Temple in Deshnok. The temple is famous for the approximately 25,000 black rats and a few white rats that live, and are revered, in the temple. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Bikaner - Pushkar
Breakfast and departure for Pushkar. After arriving, follow a guided tour of the most important Hindu temple in the city, Brahma Temple. We’ll also visit the sacred ghats in Pushkar Lake. A ghat is a set of steps situated on a riverbank, providing easy access to the water. Those in Pushkar are used by religious people to purify themselves. Free time at the bazaar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5: PUSHKAR - JAIPUR
Breakfast and departure for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, famous for its pink buildings. After arriving, visit Birla Temple and take part in a religious ceremony. We’ll also visit the Royal Albert Hall Palace outside. Free time in Jaipur’s Bazar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur - Amber - Jaipur
Breakfast. Head to Amer (11 km), and set off in a Jeep excursion to the fort. One of the most visited fortresses in Rajasthan, the magnificent palace encompasses four main sections, housing a myriad of temples and rooms in different quarters, all decked out in elaborate marblework. You can visit the palace and the gardens.
At midday, come back to Jaipur and visit the Astronomy Center (Jantar Mantar) and the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace). The Hawa Mhal is Jaipur's most iconic landmark: a honeycomb-shaped structure in tones of pink and rust, with a dizzying array of turrets. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKIRI - AGRA
Breakfast. Head to Fatehpur Sikri. Visit of the fortified city with its stunning Indo-Islamic architecture, once the capital of the Mughal empire.
Continue to Agra and in the afternoon, visit of one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal. It was built in 1630 by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Widely regarded asconsidered the most beautiful building in the world, step behind these gleaming walls studded with semi-precious stones, and you'll find courtyards and exquisite ornamental gardens. Return to the hotel after your visit. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Red Fort, with its 18-m high walls, home to the last Mughal emperor of Delhi. It took over 10 years to build, and is rumoured to have had the bodies of prisoners built into the foundations. At the scheduled time, departure to Delhi. Arrival and free time to explore. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 9: DELHI
Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion day to discover Delhi. We’ll visit the Shandni Showk in a rickshaw, the Jemaa Masjid and the Mahatma Gandhi Mausoleum.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit India’s Gate in Raj Path, before conluding the day's adventures with a trip to a Sikh temple. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 10: DEPARTURE FROM DELHI
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to Delhi’s airport.
