Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel where you can relax after your long flight and maybe spend the evening exploring the city.
Overnight in Delhi.
Today you will continue your journey with a flight to Leh, which is one of the most sensational flights in the world: on a clear day you will have a bird's eye view of some of the highest peaks in the world, while on the other side of the plane you will have a stunning view of the Kun Nun Massif.
Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel, the rest of the day is free so you can acclimatise to the 3400m altitude, perhaps with a walking tour of the local market.

After breakfast, you will be driven towards the Indus Valley to visit the monastery (or gompa) of Shey. This former royal residence is located on a hill just 15 km from Leh, and is notable for its monumental 7.5m Gold-Plated Buddha.
Next you will visit the Gompa Thiksey which is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas in terms of architecture. There are several temples in this Gompas, each one containing images, stupas and exquisite murals of Buddha.
Finally, make your way to the most popular, the best known and the largest Gompa of Ladakh, Hemis Gompa. This 1630 temple is known as Tshogkhang and features verandas which are covered with frescoes, including the Buddha's "Wheel of Life" (Kalachakra) and cladd in fluttering prayer flags.

Today you will travel to Matho Gompa which is about 26km away. Then its on to Stakna Monastery, a small monastery consisting of some Dukhangs, which was founded during the reign of King Jamyang Namgyal, in 1580. The most important statue of the monastery is Arya Avaloketesvara and monasteries like Sani, Bardan and Stakrimo in Zangskar are branches of this monastery.
Your day will end at the Palace of Stok & its museum: this impressive building features fabulous period costumes and royal jewelery with exquisite Tankas representing the lifestyle of Shakya Muni. Interesting historical objects such as coins, weapons, precious jades and china can also be seen here.

After breakfast you will drive towards Nimmu where you can visit the Zanskar & Indus Crossroads: a natural phenomenom where two lakes merge and the sight is truly impressive.Experience the utter peace of Gurdwara Shri Patthar Sahib which was built in order to preserve the eternal memory of Shri Guru Nanak Deve Ji, the great prophet within Buddhism...the rock with the print of the Guru's back is lying in the Gurdwara still today. Slightly further on your will find Magnetic Hill, a surreal spot which defies the laws of gravity.
Your day culminats with a visit to Spituk Gompa which occupies an impressive location at the top of Hillock, with a panoramic view of the Indus Valley. Many Buddhist icons and fine Tankas have been preserved in this 15th century Gompa. The Gompa also houses a collection of ancient masks, ancient weapons and an impressive image of Mahakaal.

Depart for the Nubra Valley via the Khardungla pass, the highest passable road in the world (5602m above sea level!). While passing through the village of Khardung, you will explore the local area. You will also visit Hunder, a pretty shady village, as well as a small monastery and a fort both of which are nestled above the village. Later, visit the famous Diskit monastery then continue onto your hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the village of Sumur and visit the Samtanling Monastery where you will attend prayers. You will then leave for Panamik which is known for its hot springs. Enjoy lunch at the camp before visiting the Antsa Monastery on the other side of the river.

Day 8: Nubra - Leh
After breakfast, return to Leh via Khardungla Pass. In the late afternoon you will visit Leh Bazaar where you can discover the hustle and bustle of stalls, street performers, food vendors and cafes.

Visit Shanti Stupa which was built by a Japanese master in 1995, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings around the Indus Valley. You will also visit a number of sites in the heights of Leh.

Day 10: Leh - Dubai - UK
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Dubai, where you will catch your connecting flight back home.
