Your Itinerary —
On arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your first hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Shekhawati
After breakfast, depart for Shekhawati. On the way, you will visit Mandawa, a village dominated by a huge medieval fort, still inhabited by the Raja family. Throughout the village, spot Haveli decorated with colourful frescoes and marvel at fantastic paintings and frescoes representing the Ramayana or the life of Krishna.
Spend some time discovering the havelis and temples of Mandawa before your overnight hotel stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, head towards Bikaner. On arrival, visit Junagarh Fort, a large fortress built in the sixteenth century which contains various palaces and temples. Wander through the maze of corridors, stairs and courtyards. Visit the Coronation Hall, the Ice Palace, the Maharajah Chamber, the Weapon Museum and the Conference Hall which houses a spectacular silver throne.
Embark on an included Heritage Walk through the Old Town and explore the narrow streets, with the opportunity to visit some traditional havelis. During the walk, you will have the chance to sample the sweet and savoury delicacies of Bikaner.

After breakfast, take the road towards Jodhpur, a city nestled in the heart of the desert. Jodhpur is also known as the "Blue City" and boasts a charming Old Town surrounded by a wall of seven gates along a 7km perimeter, originally built in the mid-sixteenth century to protect the town from sand.
Pay a visit to Mehrangarh Fort, a true eagle's nest built atop a hill overlooking the city. This fort can be accessed through the monumental gates which still bare the marks of bullets fired. Inside the fort, there are numerous courtyards and carved facades, as well as a museum which contains palanquins, pods for elephants, weapons, sabres, and more fascinating artefacts.
In the evening, embark on an included Tuk Tuk ride to discover the buzzing bazaar in Jodhpur.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, before departing for Ranakpur. Drive along roads lined with acacias, where you can see norias, pump wells and of course - the great Jain temples, which are hidden within the Aravalli Mountains. This place is full of spellbinding charms, with magnificent sculptures to be spotted in front of the various temples. The grandest temple is dedicated to Adinath and was built in 1439. Supported by 1444 marble columns, this fantastic temple houses 29 rooms containing Jain saints.
Continue towards Udaipur, a city filled with narrow lively streets, whitewashed houses, balconies and charming architecture.
Transfer to the hotel for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for a visit to the city, beginning at the City Palace - former palace of Maharana Udaipur. Built in the eighteenth century, this palace dominates Lake Pichola. It boasts a labyrinth of marble halls, intricately-decorated lounges, courtyards, gardens and ceramics.
Visit Sahelion Ki-Bari a beautiful park boasting numerous fountains. In the late afternoon, transfer to the pier for a mini cruise on Lake Pichola (subject to water levels) and admire the magnificent facade of the palace, stopping at the island of Jag Mandir.

After breakfast, take the road to Jaipur with a stop off at Pushkar. Pushkar is nestled on the edge of a small lake in the desert and is an important place of pilgrimage for Hindus. Visit the temples and stroll along the lake with the opportunity to attend a prayer (Puja). Stroll through the local market and soak up the magic of Pushkar.
Next, continue to Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan which owes its nickname of the "Pink City" to the pink paint that covers the buildings through the old city. Built on the bed of a dry lake in an arid landscape, this city is surrounded by barren hills, surmounted by fortresses and ramparts.
In the evening, enjoy an included Tuk-Tuk ride through the Old Town before settling down to a Bollywood movie show in the famous "Raj Mandir" movie theatre.

After breakfast, embark on an excursion to the Amber Fort, around 10km from Jaipur. Amber is the former capital of the state founded by the Minas and abandoned a few centuries later when the Maharajah Jai Singh settled in Jaipur. Located at the entrance of a rocky gorge, overlooking a beautiful lake, the strategic location of the fortress is highlighted by its beautiful architecture.
Explore the labyrinth of walls and towers, and enjoy a jeep ride to the ramparts of the fort. The interior of the fort houses many courtyards, beautiful gardens invaded by monkeys and Persian-style mosaics.
Discover Jaipur, visiting the City Palace, Maharajah Palace, and the extraordinary Hawa Mahal or "Palace of the Winds".

After breakfast, depart for Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital at the time of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Boasting baroque architecture with a synthesis of Indo-Muslim and Hindu styles, this is a spectacular city.
Visit the Great Mosque with the tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, the Jewel House and the Giant Chessboard.
Continue towards Agra, where you will visit the Red Fort. Built by Akbar between 1566-1573, this fort was created to meet the need for a military fortress from which to rule the growing Mughal Empire. Built to be impregnable, it is surrounded by 2.5km of monumental turret walls with a sprawling moat.

Pay a visit to the sublime Taj Mahal at sunrise. One of the most famous monuments in the world, it was built in the seventeenth century by Emperor Sha Jahan in the testimony of an eternal love.
This monumental portal is crafted from red sandstone inlaid with white marble, covered in verses from the Koran. Standing on a marble platform, the Taj Mahal itself is crafted in semi-translucent white marble carved with flowers and inlaid with semi-precious stones in beautiful motifs.
Return to the hotel for breakfast and take the road to Delhi. On arrival, discover both "Old Delhi" and "New Delhi" and its surroundings. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in the country, and discover Chandni Chowk, the most famous shopping street in Old Delhi.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
