Your Destinations —
The charm of the world’s most northerly capital, Reykjavik, lies in its many contrasts- here you’ll find all the cultural trappings of a large 21st-century European city here, cosy cafés, abundant museums and galleries, and a prolific music and performing arts scene.
Yet it is also a city surrounded by some fantastic natural wonders - the northern lights, thermal geysers and a stunningly unique landscape.
Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura is located in one of the greenest areas of the city, next to famed beauty spot Oskjuhlid Hill and Nautholsvik beach. However, it is still just a 20 minute walk to the city centre.
Enjoy skiing and snowboarding resorts, along with horseback riding, hot springs and a volcanic wonderland. Akureyri‘s Hlíðarfjall Ski Resort has a mellow atmosphere enjoyable for both beginners and professionals. Excellent lighting in the resort is ideal for skiing well into the evening.
The town itself has a great après-ski culture with cozy cafes, classy restaurants, art galleries and lively pubs. The included 3-day Ski Iceland pass gives you great flexibility to enjoy skiing during your trip.
We also recommend visiting the city's geothermal swimming pool, which has assorted hot tubs, steam rooms and pools to enjoy after a day of skiing.
