Budapest is famous for its ancient spas and thermal bathhouses, so be sure to try one out on your visit. Visit the famous and beautiful opera house, head to St Stephen's Basilica or climb up to the Citadella at the top of Gellert Hill - the breathtaking views across the city are well worth the climb.
There are several underground caves in Budapest, formed over million of years by thermal waters. Most of them are open to for tourists to visit, and make for a fascinating day out and brilliant photographs.
The river Danube divides Budapest into two parts, linked by no less than 8 iconic bridges, perhaps the most notable of which is the Chain bridge. With the Buda Castle in the background, the Hungarian capital’s first bridge is a spectacle that attracts many tourists thanks to its history and beautiful views.
