Stockholm

Stockholm’s good looks and fashion sense could almost be intimidating. But this city is an accessible beauty, as easy to explore as it is to love. Though spread across 14 islands, connected by 57 bridges, it is compact and walkable. Each neighbourhood has a distinct character, yet they’re so close together you can easily spend time in several areas. In each, you'll find trend-setting design, inventive cuisine, unbeatable museums, great shopping, pretty parks and loads of atmosphere.

The old town, Gamla Stan, is one of Europe’s most arresting historic hubs, all storybook buildings, imposing palaces and razor-thin cobblestone streets. Just a few metres from this time capsule, the modern city centre shines like the pages of a magazine. Downtown is a catwalk, showroom and test kitchen. Everything here is the very latest thing.

Day 1: Arrival in Copenhagen by flight
Afternoon/Evening at leisure.

Day 2: Grand Canal Tour of Copenhagen
Breakfast at hotel before embarking on a Grand Canal Tour of Copenhagen (1 Hour). Enjoy a guided tour around the harbour and through the idyllic canals where your guide will tell all the information about Copenhagen's beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses, new buildings and all other sights of interest.

The classic harbour tour departs from Nyhavn and passes some of Copenhagen's best sights and attractions. The tour provides a live guide in Danish and English - some departures have a third language which varies between German, Italian, French, Portuguese or Spanish. You will find further information about the language at our ticket office. Daily changes occur. Some departures may be audio guided. Lunch & Dinner under own arrangements.

Overnight at Copenhagen Island or similar

Day 3/4: After breakfast check out from hotel
Depart on day 3 or 4 where you will enjoy a free day of leisure in the city.
Departure to Stockholm by train

Day 4: Regular tour - Royal Canal Tour (50 Minutes)
Join a tour through the greener parts of Stockholm. It departs from Strömkajen in the centre of Stockholm going out through the Djurgården canal. Leaving the inner city behind, you will pass beautiful and famous buildings as enter the peaceful Djurgården canal. A fabulous view of the Stockholm skyline opens up only to be seen from the water!

Between 2 January – 5 April 2019 the following service including instead of Royal Canal Tour: Stockholm Winter Tour (1 hour 15 minutes)
Join a sightseeing tour in a wintery Stockholm. We will guide you along the city’s quays, out to and around the islands of Fjäderholmarna. If we are lucky there is ice on the water for the ship to break through. On board, the guide tells interesting facts about Stockholm’s history and surroundings. For those who want to defy the cold outside to get the best view on upper deck, we have skin rugs and fleece blankets to keep you warm.

If you feel a bit chilly enjoy a Swedish Glögg, a traditional hot mulled wine in the cafeteria. Here you will also find other warm and cold beverages as well as sandwiches and soup.
Afternoon/Evening at leisure.
Lunch & Dinner under own arrangements.
Overnight at Clarion Hotel Amaranten or similar.

Day 5/7: After breakfast check out from hotel
Depart on day 5 or 7 where you will enjoy a free day of leisure in the city.

Copenhagen Island 4* —

You will enjoy a 2-3 night stay in a Standard Room, with Bed & Breakfast dining.

Like the rest of Copenhagen Island, The Harbour is a restaurant that was designed by Kim Utzon and built in 2006. As the name suggests, the multi-story restaurant encompasses striking views of Copenhagen's waterfront through the restaurant's huge, slanted window that stretches up three stories. So enjoy the view while you sample the exciting internationally inspired menu.
