Your Itinerary —
Day 1: UK - San Jose (Airport - San Jose - 45 minutes)
Day 1: UK - San Jose (Airport - San Jose - 45 minutes)
Welcome to Costa Rica! Meet your English speaking representative at the airport. Then transfer to your hotel located in downtown San José, the capital city. Receive your documentation of travel and accommodation at your hotel.
Day 2-3: San Jose - Tortuguero - Arenal
Day 2: San Jose - Tortuguero (4 hours plus 1.5 hour boat)
Meet at your reception for a semi-collective transfer to the Tortuguero pier. Arrival to Guápiles city and breakfast in a local restaurant, before taking a boat to Tortuguero to travelling on the canals, in the heart of the rainforest. Installation at the lodge, and lunch on site. In the afternoon, ride a boat to the small Caribbean village of Tortuguero to visit it, before heading to the lodge. The afternoon is free to enjoy the facilities of the lodge and to walk around. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Tortuguero - Arenal (1.5 hour on boat and 3 hours on route)
Early morning, embark on a boat trip to visit the canals of Tortuguero Park: it is a different and very fun way to discover this imposing panorama. (The entrance to the national park is not included: $ 15.00 per person). Enjoty breakfast at the lodge before returning to Guápiles by boat, and then have lunch in a local restaurant. Transfer to the agency to meet the agent and retrieve your rental car. Continue to the north of the country to reach La Fortuna, a town at the foot of the Arenal volcano. Check-in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6-9: Rincon De la Vieja - Tamarindo - San Jose
Day 6: Rincon De la Vieja - Tamarindo
After breakfast, departure to the beautiful and famous region of Tamarindo to enjoy the last days in Costa Rica in this seaside area. Enjoy the magical waters of Tamarindo Beach and the rest of the afternoon free at the hotel or for an additional excursion to the area. Overnight at the hotel.
Days 7 and 8: Tamarindo
Enjoy breakfast free days to enjoy the hotel, the beach or to explore the region. Day 8 will involve journeying to San José, ready for your for the last full day in Costa Rica. You will depart to the capital of the country for your last day in Costa Rica in order to make the last purchases of beautiful typical souvenirs. Return the rented car at the hotel around 5pm. Overnight in San José.
Day 9: San Jose
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a shared transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport.
Your 11-Night Itinerary
Days 1 and 2: UK - San Jose - Tortuguero
These days are the same as Days 1-2 in the 8-Night itinerary.
Overnight in San Jose day 1. Dinner and overnight day 2.
Day 3: Tortuguero
An early start and breakfast in your lodge will set you up nicely for a boat trip along the canals of Tortuguero. You'll be in the heart of the rainforest, so why not make the most of discovering the very flora and fauna that gives Costa Rica its name. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy the facilities of your lodge and to walk around. There are also many evening excursions to observe the nesting of green turtles, baulas or loras. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Days 4, 5 and 6: Tortuguero - Arenal - Rincon de la Vieja
These days are the same as Days 3, 4 and 5 on the 8-Night itinerary.
Overnight.
Day 7: Rincon de la Vieja
The same as Day 5 in the 8 Night itinerary, guests can enjoy exciting excursions and free time.
Day 8: Rincon De la Vieja - Tamarindo
Head on a morning drive towards the Guanacaste Peninsula and pass by Liberia before arriving at the seaside resort of Guanacaste. Once here, your afternoon will be free to enjoy the hotel and the nearby beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Days 9 and 10: Tamarindo
These days will be lived out in the same style as days 7 and 8 in the 8-night itinerary.
Day 11: Tamarindo - San Jose
After Breakfast, transfer to the city of San Jose for the last day in Costa Rica. Return the rented car at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 12: San Jose
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before taking a shared transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport.

Flights:
You may choose from Economy or Premium class flights on sectors that they operate, at the next stage of the booking process. The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.
Transfers:
Return transfers are included for flight-inclusive offers. For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. If you still require assistance, please call the transfer provider directly.
Car Hire:
For the freedom to explore your destination at your own pace, make the most of included car hire with your booking (flight-inclusive offers only). Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group. The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required. Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions. Other fees may be applicable in addition to the cost of your car rental for any additional products added to your car rental.
Car Hire: Car hire is included for the tour. There are supplements for guests wanting additional days of car rental and total car insurance. These additional extras are payable at the next stage of the booking process.
