Offer 1: 8 Night Tour
Day 1: Arrival San José
Upon arrival at San José airport, a local staff member will welcome and assist you. A transfer will then take you to the hotel.

Day 2: San José - Tortuguero (4h transfer + 1.5h by boat)
In the morning, you will be collected at the hotel reception at an appointed time for a shared transfer to the beautiful area of Tortuguero in the northern Caribbean. Tortuguero is one of Costa Rica's most popular ecotourism destinations; it was established in 1970 to protect endangered sea turtles. The channels, rivers and lagoons of Tortuguero National Park are a treasure trove of rainforest and marine biology. Tortuguero National Park is a place like no other, a haven for research and ecotourism.
On route, we will stop in the town of Guapiles for a Costa Rican breakfast at a local restaurant and then continue to the dock where you will board the boat to Tortuguero. This boat transfer will be a wonderful introduction to the heart of the rainforest. As you sail through the canals, you will admire the beautiful natural landscapes and the various vivid shades of green.
Upon arrival at the lodge, get comfortable and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, meet your guide and visit the charming village of Tortuguero; it has a small population of about 500, no cars, and is located on a relatively narrow stretch of land between the beach and a canal. Enjoy an encounter with Caribbean culture; discover the warmth of the people and their way of life by walking through this colourful village.

Day 3: Tortuguero - Arenal (1.5h by boat + 2.5h transfer)
Start the day early! Together with your guide, enjoy nature in all its splendour as you cruise through the channels of Tortuguero National Park by boat at dawn and take your best jungle photos. Explore the network of canals, lagoons and dense rainforests on a boat trip led by your expert guide. Tortuguero has abundant fauna, including 57 species of amphibians, 111 species of reptiles and 60 species of mammals.
Return to the lodge for breakfast. Then get ready to continue your journey. Shared boat and land transfer from Tortuguero to the restaurant located in Guápiles, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch.
You will then meet the car rental company for delivery of your vehicle and all necessary information for your journey to your next destination: La Fortuna de San Carlos, home of the magnificent Arenal volcano. Before December 2010, the Arenal volcano was one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world and was a majestic sight. Daily, it spewed molten rock and ash from its summit. Since December 2010, there have been no lava eruptions, but you can still see smoke/ash from the top of the volcano.
Once you've arrived, check in and enjoy some free time to relax in the hotel lovely facilities.

Day 4: Arenal
Today you will have plenty of time to relax at the hotel or explore the rainforest. If you are a nature lover, the Arenal region offers you many treasures to discover! Hike to the lava trails in Arenal Volcano National Park, discover the breath-taking La Fortuna waterfall, experience a rush of adrenaline in the Balsa River rapids while admiring the beautiful vegetation, fly over the canopy of trees on a Zipline adventure and much more! Costa Rica is known worldwide as an adventure destination and the La Fortuna area is known for the best outdoor adventures.

Day 5: Arenal - Rincón de la Vieja (3h transfer)
At the appointed time, you will depart for your next destination, the volcanic region of Rincón de la Vieja, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country with enormous ecological diversity. The 34,000-hectare region is home to 2 volcanoes, 32 rivers and streams and an incredible variety of flora and fauna, including kinkajous, pumas, several species of monkeys, sloths, tapirs, jaguars and rare emerald toucans.

Day 6: Rincón de la Vieja
Free day to enjoy the tropical forest and all its treasures: waterfalls, hot springs and optional activities.

Free day to relax and fully enjoy the beach! If you want to do some exploring, opt for one of the many outdoor activities on offer. The beach town also has an abundance of restaurants, boutique shops and nightlife.

Day 9: Tamarindo - San José (4.5h transfer) - Return journey
After a final breakfast, it's time to drive back to the car rental office near San José airport. A transfer will then take you to the airport for your flight back home.
