DAY 1: SAN JOSÉ - ARRVIAL
Upon arrival at San José Juan Santamaría International Airport, you will be welcomed by a local representative and assisted with your transfer to the hotel.
After check-in, enjoy some free time to settle in and relax, the perfect way to ease into your Costa Rican adventure.

DAY 2: SAN JOSE → TORTUGUERO
Early in the morning, check out and meet at the hotel reception for a semi-collective transfer towards Tortuguero, one of Costa Rica’s most iconic ecotourism destinations. Created in 1970 to protect endangered sea turtles, Tortuguero is a unique region of canals, rivers and lagoons where rainforest, freshwater and marine ecosystems coexist.
En route, stop in Guápiles for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast at a local restaurant before continuing to the pier. Board a boat and cruise through Tortuguero’s lush canals, surrounded by dense rainforest in endless shades of green.
Upon arrival at the lodge, check in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, meet your guide for a visit to Tortuguero Village, a small, car-free community of around 500 inhabitants, set on a narrow strip of land between the beach and the canal. Discover the vibrant Caribbean culture and daily life of this colourful village.

DAY 3: TORTUGUERO
After breakfast, join your guide for a naturalist walk along the private trails of the lodge, discovering the rich flora and fauna that thrive in this protected environment.
Following lunch, set out on a guided boat tour through the canals of Tortuguero National Park, a prime location for wildlife observation. Navigate through lagoons and dense rainforest while your expert guide helps you spot a remarkable diversity of species, including amphibians, reptiles, mammals and tropical birds.
Return to the lodge in the afternoon to relax before enjoying dinner surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

DAY 4: TORTUGUERO → ARENAL
After breakfast at the lodge, check out and continue your journey towards Arenal, a region defined by lush rainforest and dominated by the iconic Arenal Volcano. Once ranked among the world’s ten most active volcanoes, Arenal remains an impressive natural landmark, occasionally releasing smoke and ash from its summit.
Travel by shared boat and land transfer to Guápiles, where a traditional lunch is served at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue by shuttle to La Fortuna.

DAY 5: ARENAL
After breakfast, set off on one of the Arenal region’s most rewarding nature experiences: a guided sloth tour in the rainforest surrounding La Fortuna.
Accompanied by a certified naturalist guide, explore known wildlife observation areas and learn to identify both two-toed and three-toed sloths in their natural habitat. Along the way, keep an eye out for other species that inhabit the forest, including toucans, monkeys, dart frogs, hummingbirds and iguanas.
The slow-paced walk focuses on observation, education and appreciation of the rainforest’s quieter rhythms, offering a deeper connection with Costa Rica’s biodiversity.

DAY 6: ARENAL → MONTEVERDE
After breakfast, check out and depart for Monteverde, one of Costa Rica’s most distinctive natural environments. Known for its cloud forest, Monteverde is characterised by constant mist, exceptional biodiversity and a tranquil atmosphere.
Travel first by land to Lake Arenal Dam, where you will board a boat for a scenic crossing of Lake Arenal. After approximately 30 minutes on the water, continue by minibus for the final drive into Monteverde.
Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, surrounded by the unique sights and sounds of the cloud forest.

Hike in Manuel Antonio National Park (except tuesdays)
Explore Manuel Antonio National Park with an expert guide who will introduce you to the wildlife, flora and mysteries of the rainforest. During this 3.2 km hike, you will see sloths, birds, reptiles and much more, with a relaxing break at Third Beach.
