Driving in Costa Rica —
Driving is a great way to see Costa Rica - the roads are safe and landscape is awe inspiring. Driving on the right hand side on well maintained roads mean your journeys will be simple and stress free.
Populated areas such as San Jose generally have well signposted dual carriageways, and the smaller roads away from the main cities tend to be similar to UK countryside A roads.
Your Itinerary —
Hotel Rincón del Valle(****) Deluxe Double Room
Bed & Breakfast Plan
• Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. You will be met by our Spanish speaking driver and will take the private transfer to your hotel.
• Meet & Greet at the hotel by our English speaking local representative who will give you a road book and information about your trip in Costa Rica.
• Check-in. Dinner at your charge. Night at the Hotel.
Day 2: SAN JOSÉ
• One day tour to Poás Volcano National Park. Then you will do a coffee tour in Finca Doka. You will finish this day by visiting the typical villages of Grecia and Sarchi. This is a private tour. It includes English/Spanish speaking local guide, transportation, lunch and entrance fees.
• Dinner at your charge. Night at the Hotel.
Day 3 SAN JOSÉ / TORTUGUERO (3h30 ground transfer + 1h/1h30 boat)
Aninga Lodge (*** Superior) Double Room
Full Board Plan
• Early in the morning, meet your English/Spanish speaking local guide at the hotel and leave San José with a ground transfer (with other customer of Tortuguero’s Lodge) to Tortuguero. You will have breakfast in Guapiles.
• Then you will take the boat from the pier to the Lodge. Welcome cocktail at your arrival, check-in and lunch.
• PM: Visit of Tortuguero’s small fishermen village (optional visit: Turtle Conservation Museum ($2/pax))
• Dinner and night at the Lodge.
• Morning boat tour in Tortuguero National Park canals.
• Return for breakfast at the Lodge. Walk on the trails with your local guide.
• Lunch at the Lodge.
• PM: canal tour to a different canal than the one visited in the morning boat tour.

Day 5:TORTUGUERO / ARENAL (1h/1h30 de boat + 1h30 ground transfer + 3h30 driving)
