Arrive at Pearson International Airport and pick up your rental car at the Avis Car Rental Desk. This desk is located in the parking garage for Terminal 1 arrivals, or in the Arrivals lobbies for both Terminal 2 and 3 arrivals. Drive to your downtown Toronto hotel and check in. The remainder of day is at leisure to explore the country’s largest metropolis. Perhaps indulge in some boutique shopping at the Eaton Centre or underground PATH retail network, spanning kilometers and featuring shoppes, restaurants and other services.

DAY 2 - 260 KM - TORONTO / NIAGARA FALLS
Today you take an independent day trip to Niagara Falls, where you embark on a thrilling boat ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises to Voyage to the Falls for a unique view of the spectacular Horseshoe Falls. While in Niagara, you may wish to visit some of the other popular attractions, such as the Floral Clock, Queenston Heights or the historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto.

Today you travel eastward out of the greater Toronto area, passing by the small towns that dot the northern shores of Lake Ontario. The low lying, fertile fields of Prince Edward County was a favoured residential location for many of Canada’s early governors and officials, their mansions still adorning the charming town of Picton. Afterwards, arrive in historic Kingston, home to the grand halls of Queens University and dozens of magnificent limestone mansions and public buildings.

DAY 4 - 288 KM - KINGSTON TO MONTREAL
Today you leave behind the colonial grandeur of Kingston along the waterfront and strike eastwards towards the Quebec provincial border. With the mighty St. Lawrence as your roadside companion, continue up the path of the river that for centuries was the heart of national and international trade and commerce. You soon arrive at the island city of Montreal – one of Canada’s oldest cities and a centre for arts and music that celebrate both its Francophone and Anglophone histories.

Departing Montreal, you will travel further into the French-speaking province of Quebec. Following the shores of the St. Lawrence River, you will reach Quebec City - the only walled city in North America. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore this historical city.

DAY 6 - QUEBEC CITY
The day is yours to discover the sights and mysteries of one of the most culturally vibrant cities in North America. As the continent’s only Walled City, the ornate colonial fortifications, towering spired churches and centuries-old streets house a bustling city that celebrates Quebecois music, art and a love of life.

DAY 7 - 215 KM -QUEBEC TO TADOUSSAC
Today’s journey along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River reveals the beauty and unique charm of the small waterside towns that have matured along the shores of this immense waterway. The surrounding forests of La Malbaie and Saint Simeon gently run down to the and effortlessly mingle with the colourful buildings of the towns. Continue on to Tadoussac where the waters of the Saguenay River strongly mingle with the St. Lawrence.

The Saguenay River is your guide today as you head inland through the primeval landscape of the Quebec interior. Long known as a mineral and forestry treasure house, the Saguenay region has developed into a thriving tourism and outdoor adventure hub. DAY 9 - 322 KM - ROBERVAL TO SAINT-ALEXIS-DES-MONTS
Today’s southward route through the La Tuque region reveals why Quebec is known as the land of lakes. Over 400 lakes and rivers criss-cross this spectacular landscape, creating a sense of pastoral tranquility that defines the region. Arrive in Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts where your hotel perfectly mixes modern hospitality with traditional resort style beauty.

DAY 10 - SAINT-ALEXIS-DES-MONTS
Take the day and explore the grounds and amenities of your hotel. Tennis in the summer or skating in the winter - there are always intriguing options available. Alternatively, you may wish to take a day trip to the Faunique Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve, or the Mauricie National Park for a sampling of outdoor adventure.

DAY 6 – Quebec City Tour (2 hours)
The tour provides a comprehensive orientation of the historic and modern aspects of Québec City. You will see the Latin Quarter, the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, the Fortifications, the National Assembly, Place Royale, the Basilica and other points of interest within this vibrant city. This tour is in English and French.
Departing from Tadoussac, you will cross the St. Lawrence River for a whale-watching cruise aboard a boat with exceptional panoramic views. Watch as these incredible and social animals feed and play where the waters of the two rivers meet. The tour is conducted in English and French.
