Your Destination —
This fascinating country offers a true taste of Southeast Asia before the arrival of tourism and modernisation. It has a diverse landscape from dusty hot cities and mountainous jungles to beautifully calm bays and pristine beaches. At the turn of the millennium, Siem Reap was a Cambodian provincial town with few facilities, minor surfaced roads and little in the way of nightlife. Now it is a major tourist hub due to its proximity to the world famous temples of Angkor (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

- Visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom which dates all the way back to the 12th century

- Take a trip to the Elephant Terrace and the Leper King's Terrace
- Finally, visit the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat has been a World Heritage Site since 1992, and is famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat is the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, running along the walls of the outer gallery and telling stories of Hindu mythology.
After breakfast, depart to the countryside where an ox cart or water buffalo awaits you for a ride through sandy and muddy fields in the authentic villages. Your camera should be turned on while you are on the cart, as you will find many great picture opportunities. The adventure will offer you an opportunity to interact with local people, allowing you to better understand their way of life. Later, you meet the Khmer chef, who will take you for a walk in the herb and vegetable garden to see the ingredients grow and tell the story of Cambodian cuisine. The chef will recommend the 3 best dishes to choose from and you'll enjoy having to make your own food in the private space of the Khmer house. After the meal, return to the hotel and enjoy free time.
Overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Day 4: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap - Kompong Thom (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out for a day of adventures. If the water level allows, you'll begin by boarding a flat-bottomed canoe for a ride through the trees in the flooded forest. Fishponds installed through the forest will remind you that the activity of the village is mainly fishing. After this unusual stroll in this ephemeral corner, return to the village. Note: The boat ride on the Tonle Sap is not recommended during the dry season (March to July) due to the lack of water. During this period, this tour can be replaced by the excursion as follows:
Visit the Silk Farm, which was founded by an NGO with the purpose of maintaining the Cambodian silk productions. Continue to visit the Les Chantiers Ecole – a centrally located craft centre (depends). Founded in 1992, its mission is to revive the ancient art of the Khmers. Once you arrive there, you will have the opportunity to see how young people learn sculpture of wooden works, weaving, stone carving. Then, visit the floating village on the shore of Tonle Sap Lake. Board a motorboat to reach Kompong Phluk - you'll arrive at this floating village in around 30 minutes. You'll enjoy a small tour in this village where you can see the peaceful local life, before you stop and visit the pagoda of the fishing village, the only building constructed permanently. The natives are organised to live in harmony with this whim of the lake. After that, continue by visiting the Pagoda and discussing life with the young monks. Then, continue on the way to Siem Reap before enjoying lunch on the road. Stop to visit Sambor Pleikuk, Cambodia's second largest archaeological site after the temples of Angkor. It groups together around 130 temples buried in the heart of a tropical forest. The central complex of Sambor Prei Kuk consists of three sets of buildings, each in a similar arrangement: the central tower is surrounded by two walls and is flanked by basins, gates and other smaller temples.
Overnight stay in Kampong Thom.
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll depart towards Phnom Penh (national road 7). Stop to visit the 1000 year old Kampong Kdei Bridge, which is decorated with the emblem of the serpent god Naga of 7 heads - the pride of the people of Cambodia, as proof of the golden age. In Kampong Cham, you will visit the Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey temples and Wat Nokor Bachey, as well as the Chup Rubber plantations. On the way, visit the insect market - where you can enjoy traditional Cambodian dishes. Sample lunch in a local restaurant, and, in the afternoon, continue on to Phnom Penh.

This land in the middle of the Mekong, 15 km from Phnom Penh, is renowned beyond the Cambodian borders for its silk weaving crafts. The discovery of this island by bike or tuk tuk promises pleasant and very authentic moments. Indeed, the ride takes place in the middle of nature, between fruit trees, fields and banks of the Mekong. All lulled by the regular sound of looms, present in all traditional houses on stilts. Enjoy lunch is at a local restaurant and return to Phnom Penh. You'll spend the rest of the day taking time to visit the Royal Palace, which was built by King Norodom in 1866. Next, visit the Wat Phnom temple - the symbol of the popular capital, by enjoying a pleasant stroll and taking pictures around the hill. Then, transfer to the port to enjoy a leisurely cruise to see the urban life of the inhabitants.
