Its city centre offers a mix of quaint colonial architecture, modern businesses, and a sun-drenched beach, making it the perfect place for a memorable, one-of-a-kind city trip.
The home of Samba and the Caipirinha cocktail, this city has an unmistakable party atmosphere - make the most of this by taking a visit to the Sambadrome, which hosts the official Rio Carnival in the week before Lent, but where you can see the local samba schools rehearsing from December onwards.
