Your Destinations

Melbourne

Melbourne’s exciting mix of style, sport, culture and dining means that you will never want to leave. Get a cricket or football fix, soak up art and culture, go high-end dining or grab the best pub burger and shop for local designer fashion or cycle the bayside. Melbourne Laneways are known worldwide for a rich art culture, unique galleries, and tiny cafes. Immerse yourself in the labyrinth of historic city lanes and arcades to discover Australia's largest contemporary cultural and artistic movement. Whatever you fancy, Melbourne is a city of choices.

Alice Springs

Bordering the MacDonnell Ranges and a spectacular desert landscape, Alice Springs is the most famous Australian bush town. Called Mpwante by the people of Arrernte and located just 200 km south of the geographical centre of Australia, the city was first established as a relay along the overland telegraph line.

The introduction of camels, the development of the pastoral industry and the discovery of gold, combined with its isolation, has led to the creation of an unparalleled and eccentric community identity.

The desert climate and landscapes of the region encourage a healthy outdoor lifestyle and offer an extraordinary arena for adventures in the bush. Quads and mountain biking, trekking on the Larapinta trail, all-terrain vehicle excursions, camping in the wilderness and baths in water holes are popular activities.

Ayers Rock

Uluru, or Ayers Rock, is considered Australia’s most famous national sights and is best viewed at sunrise or sunset.  Until a few years ago, this sandstone monolith in the heart of Northern Territory’s ‘Red Centre’ was known as Ayers Rock, a name given to it by the European explorer William Gosse in 1873.  This natural wonder stands 348m tall and is resplendent in the sun’s changing light which gives it a hypnotic and bewitching quality. Take a walk around the base of Uluru to observe the rocks’ colour change with the change of light.

Kings Canyon

Kings Canyon, forms part of the Watarrka National Park which has been the home of Luritja aborigines for over 22,000 years. Watarrka is an important reserve with water holes and gorges that serve as a refuge for more than 600 species of local plants and animals. The impressive red cliffs of Kings Canyon rise 100m above dense forests of palm trees, cycads and ferns, protecting them from the region’s harsh desert climate.

The 6km Rim Walk gives you the opportunity to admire the most spectacular views from the edge of the canyon and the eroded domes of 'Lost City' and the 'Garden of Eden', a valley where dense vegetation coexists with permanent water basins. The hike is relatively strenuous and lasts 3 to 4 hours. There is also the 2.6 km Kings Creek walk which takes you to the center of the Canyon.

Cairns

Along with its UNESCO World Heritage rainforest, visitors flock to the city of Cairns each year to admire the remarkable Great Barrier Reef. Take a trip to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, the Kuranda Scenic Railway, and the Kuranda Village and awaken your taste buds with tropical fruit and fresh seafood. At the Tjapukai Tree Culture Park you can learn about the Aborigine people, one of the oldest cultures in the world that have lasted for more than 40,000 years. Jump on a ferry ride to the picturesque Fitzroy Island in just 45 minutes. There, you can take part in a range of activities including rainforest trails, snorkelling at Welcome Bay, and kayaking in the Great Barrier Reef.

Sydney

With a world-famous bay, dreamy beaches, designer shops, hipster cafes, gourmet restaurants, and notable party venues, Sydney is one of Australia's premier destinations. This daring city is particularly popular with surfers who flock to its incredible beaches. Sydney is also home to the magnificent Opera House where visitors can take a guided tour to learn more about the productions that are performed here. Referred to as the "coathanger", the Sydney Bay Bridge is a must-see landmark that is best explored by bike.
