Elephant interaction (for stays of 10 nights or longer) —
You will have the privilege of interacting with ten hand-reared elephants of varying ages. Among them are the majestic bulls Bop, Danny and Madinda. This unique encounter with members of the Zambezi herd is a deeply moving experience, offering a rare opportunity to observe these gentle giants up close and to create a personal bond with them.
This exceptional interaction will give you a better understanding of the plight of the elephants and a renewed respect for these iconic animals.
What is the story of these elephants?
The Zambezi herd has its origins in the 1960s and 1970s, when six calves were left orphaned by culling operations during a period of extreme drought in Zimbabwe. Raised using innovative positive reinforcement techniques, these elephants grew up under the benevolent protection of humans.
In 2002, in the midst of a period of political instability, the herd and several of their caretakers were transferred to Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, under the management of Safari Par Excellence. Even today, the bond between the elephants and their handlers is extremely strong, based on love and respect - values that the elephants generously pass on to the visitors they meet.
The herd is regularly visited by an advisory committee of specialist vets, who monitor the health and welfare of each member.

Helicopter flights are smooth and enjoyable, allowing you to concentrate fully on the awe-inspiring scenery. If you're looking for the best way to see Victoria Falls, this sensational flight is sure to be the highlight of your trip.
