Here's my favourite itinerary! You'll begin with a stopover in the capital, followed by visits to two iconic cities along the Great Silk Road: the mystical Khiva and the artisan city of Bukhara. Next, take a break at a yurt camp in the desert, enjoy a swim in the lake, and conclude your journey in the magnificent Samarkand. Personal advice: be sure to try plov, the legendary traditional Uzbek dish, in both Bukhara and Samarkand to decide which version you like best.

- Yurt camps are open from March till the end of October. Outside of this period, clients will stay in Samarkand.
- Yurt camps are classed as an ecologically responsible touristic complex. Toilets and showers are non-private, and you will have a basic level of comfort.
- Please note that there are no 4* or 5* hotels in Khiva.
Maximum room capacity is 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child. Single rooms are not available.
