Your Itinerary —
Upon arrival at Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, welcomed by guide and transferred to your hotel in the city center to check in (Early check-in is included with breakfast). Relax after a long journey. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (B)
After breakfast, the day starts with visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh - the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and every afternoons due to closure), and the house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda. Next up visit Tran Quoc Pagoda - Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake.
In the afternoon, visit Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in 11th century. Later on we take one hour cyclo tour around the Old Streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red river and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board to board a traditional junk. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting the Surprising Cave. Later on the junk move to docking area for overnight. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Luang Prabang (Brunch)
In the morning, your brunch will be served while doing further cruise to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the Wharf. The junk continues cruising toward Ha Long port. Ready for disembarking. Our car and guide will be there to pick you up toward Hanoi. You will drive straight to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Landing in Luang Prabang, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from Luang Prabang residents. It is a beautiful, serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people. Visit Morning Market where you can find all ingredients for local food. Return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Continue our city tour with the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai.
In the afternoon, we also enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
After breakfast, we board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes.
In the afternoon, we transfer through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River you will see gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. You will visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. Afterwards we return to the Luang Prabang for dinner at your own. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 7: Luang Prabang – Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, you will be free to explore Luang Prabang yourself or stroll around the town to take the most impressive photos of local life.
In the afternoon, you will board a flight back to Hanoi in a good time to connect to a domestic flight to Danang. Landing in Danang, you're greeted by our guide and transferred 35 kilometers to Hoi An. Check in your hotel and overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An (B)
Moring is light excursion to go around tiny town of Hoi An for city tour: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants' house. Afternoon is free to explore the town by yourself. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City (B)
After breakfast, you will be free until being transferred to the airport for a flight o Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our guide and check in your hotel. Then you will enjoy a half day tour of vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Reunification Hall, formerly known as the Presidential Palace it was this modern building that North Vietnamese tanks seized on the morning of April 30 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. Continue to the Old Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Depart from your hotel at 08:00, it takes only 2 hours pleasant drive to Ben Tre province crossing Rach Mieu bridge. On arrival in Hung Vuong Pier, hop on a motorized boat on Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of Mekong river while sight-seeing lively activities along river as fishing, water transferring. Our first stop is at brick kiln to see how to make bricks traditionally by printing and baking. Continue to visit one of plenty of coconut processing workshops located along canal. Return to the boat and go through natural scissors creeks to a village and see some local houses making sleeping mats and enjoying some fruits.
Take a motorized cart (tuk tuk) or bicycle on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on real life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Have lunch at local a riverside restaurant.
After lunch, we take a rowing-boat along beautiful water palm creek before meeting up the motorized boat and transfer you back to the pier. Return to hotel after a memorable day merging in Mekong Delta local living. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, you will travel by road (no guide) to Phan Thiet to chill out on the beach. Overnight in Phan Thiet.
