Your Destinations

Bangkok

The colourful and exhilarating capital of Bangkok is an exotic sight to behold for any traveller, whether you frequent the city, or this is your first visit. With a hectic mix of cosmopolitan modernity and old-world charm, Bangkok offers an immersive stay in Thailand.

Dotted with a staggering 400 Buddhist temples, embrace the culture of the city as you walk side by side with saffron-robed monks, and then be amazed by the revered Grand Palace and grandeur of Wat Phra Kaew (Royal Temple). Take a cruise down the Chao Phraya River and watch the hustle and bustle of everyday life, or escape the crowds and venture to the back streets of the old Portuguese quarter.

Foodies will be enthralled by the flavourful cuisine served at Yaowarat Street (China Town) and Sukhumvit Soi 38, but none compares to Khao San Road - Bangkok's infamous backpacker strip, but a must for local cuisine, cheap drinks and lots of souvenirs! If you have the time, visit Bangkok's only Michelin Star street food restaurant and see Raan Jay Fai at work! For those who love to shop, the legendary MBK Centre shopping mall is busy with tourists and locals alike. An evening in Sukhumvit is not to be missed and with the ease of the BTS Skytrain, you'll be able to venture back and forth between the many districts of the city.

Ubud

When you think of Bali, images of Ubud's towering temples and lush, green rice terraces are often dreamt up. While the centre of Ubud's town is busy with tourists, traditional craft shops and cultural landmarks, the real draw of Ubud lies in its tranquil outskirts, which are rich in hypnotic and stunningly scenic natural beauty.

As the heartland of the island, Ubud is ideal for both those who want a total escape from their daily life, and those who wish to uncover the ancient secrets of Balinese culture. Undoubtedly, a must-see spot on any tourist's list is the Ubud Monkey Forest, where over 700 long-tailed macaques share their spiritual home with daily visitors. In addition to the lively residents, the forest boasts 186 different species of tree and several sacred temples. Another Ubud highlight is the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, a prime photo-stop that showcases some of the most beautiful terraced fields in all of Southeast Asia. We highly recommend heading here to enjoy the absolute best of Bali's nature - it also promises a cool, breezy atmosphere which is more than welcome following a break at the beach!

Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is a luxury enclave on Bali's southwest coast, popular with families and couples alike. The long stretches of sandy beach, upmarket restaurants and luxury hotels draw a well-heeled crowd, whilst the excellent surfing conditions, as well as diving and snorkelling, ensures water sports lovers will be in their element. A visit to Uluwatu temple is also highly recommended - go at sunset for the most amazing views.

Excursions in Bangkok

Half Day Tour of the Royal Grand Palace

Your Optional Excursions
The Royal Grand Palace, with its collection of pavilions and golden spires can only be described as an oriental masterpiece. Inside the Royal Chapel, there is the Emerald Buddha, which has been carved from a solid piece of jade. The palace is a true architectural masterpiece, consisting of several buildings from the outside and a magical inside, which was used as a royal residence from the 18th century to the mid-20th century. It is without any doubt a national reference and possibly the most visited royal monument of Thailand, which shouldn’t be missed. To round off the tour, we call in at a local lapidary factory and showroom where you will be able to get locally made jewellery, handicrafts and silk at competitive prices.

This tour is approx 4 hours long starting at approx 7.15 am or 12.15 pm. Transfers are included and it is recommended that casual smart clothes are worn. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. No flip flops or open shoes are allowed. Note: Parts of the Royal Grand Palace and/or Wat Phra Kaew can be closed during special royal or Buddhist ceremonies and during visits of foreign heads of state.

Half Day Floating Market

Your Optional Excursions
Start your day at the world-famous floating market of "Damnern Saduak", which is located about 100 kilometres southwest of Bangkok. On the way to the floating market, take a visit at a Coconut Sugar Farm -look around the farmhouse and see how they process the coconut sugar.  You can also taste a few things prepared freshly there. There are countless floating markets throughout the country, many within a couple of hours of the capital. The colourfully clad merchants at these lively markets paddle along congested canals in sturdy canoes laden with fresh fruits and vegetables to sell to shoppers on the banks. There is a lot of chatter and activity -bargaining is common -that's all part of the fun -but don't expect to get the price down more than a few baht. From fruits and flowers to everyday needs, it leaves nothing to be desired, although it is now somewhat over commercialized. You visit the lively market at its best early in the morning, before the crowds arrive and the day's heat breaks. This is an exciting and fun way to see the local life and to go bargain hunting.

This tour is approx 4 hours long starting at approx 6.30. Transfers are included and it is recommended that casual, comfortable and light clothes are worn.

Half Day Bangkok Canals

Your Optional Excursions

A stop will be made at the beautifully decorated Khmer Temple of Dawn "Wat Arun".

This tour is approx 4 hours long starting at approx 12.15 pm. Transfers are included and it is recommended that casual, comfortable and light clothes are worn.

Full Day Discover Ancient Ayutthaya By Coach & Cruise

Ayutthaya lies about an hours journey by coach to the north of the city and was the proud and powerful ancient capital of Siam until its destruction, 230 or so years ago. Much of the fabulous ornate city was lost at that time, but what remains will still give you an excellent idea of life during the 4 centuries that the Kings of Ayutthaya ruled. You will also visit the nearby summer palace of the present modern day Chakri dynasty.

After the sightseeing, you will travel by coach for approximately 1 hour to join a cruise boat at Wat Chong-Lom Pier for a leisurely boat ride (approximately 2 hours) back down the Chao Phraya River to River City Pier taking in all of the splendid scenery and typical Thai water-borne life on the way.

UK health authorities have classified Singapore as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For information and advice about the risks associated with Zika virus, visit the National Travel Health Network and Centre website.

Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease is common in Singapore with more serious outbreaks from time to time. Young children are particularly at risk.

If vaccinations or other preventive measures are required, you will need to visit your health professional at least 8 weeks before your trip. In the event that you are referred to a medical facility for treatment, you should contact your insurance/medical assistance company immediately.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.
