Now it is a major tourist hub due to its proximity to the world famous temples of Angkor (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

Your Itinerary —
After a long flight, you will arrive in the thousand-year-old city of Hanoi. Your driver will transfer you from Noi Bai Airport to your hotel in the city centre. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch Included)
After breakfast, the day will start with a visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh - the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and every afternoons due to closure), and the house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda. Next up, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda - Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake & Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in the 11th century.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon will be spent with a visit to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed every Monday), which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam. Then transfer to the Old Quarters and visit the Saint Joseph Cathedral, the oldest church in Hanoi and Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site of outstanding natural beauty. Check-in and lunch on board. The cruise goes through many rocks and islets in various forms, and make several stops to visit surprising caves. Dinner and overnight on board with night fishing. In the morning, brunch will be served while the boat continues cruising, pass by several rocks, islets then moving toward Ha Long City for disembarking around 11 a.m. Our driver will be waiting for you at the pier then transfer you to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi (approximately 3.5 hours) or Cat Bai in Hai Phong for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to check-in and relax. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, take the road to Mekong Delta. After a 2-hour drive southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, you arrive at the Mekong Delta. Board the wooden boat and start sailing on the Mekong to Cai Be floating market (a small floating market). Stop en route at the local market where you can interact with the locals and learn about their daily life. Have fun with a leisure sampan ride through the canals before transferring to an old house where you have a delicious homestay lunch with Mekong specialties.
After lunch, continue your journey by sailing upstream to Vinh Long. Along the way, you'll observe typical rural local life in the Mekong Delta with stops at a local brick factory and pottery factory and a floating fish farm. In the afternoon, return to the pier where your car is waiting to take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi – Tay Ninh – Phnom Penh (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, check-out and your guide will pick you up at your hotel. Take a city tour to see the highlights of Ho Chi Minh City passing the Reunification Palace, the central post office, and the colonial districts. After that, we head to Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi is an immense network of 220km connecting underground tunnels divided in 3 levels to 6 meters, 8 meters and 10 meters deep underground, occupy more than 10,000 people. This zigzag tunnel served as a link between different villages (some tunnels pass under rivers) and played a definite role for the outcome and the Vietnamese victory Vietnam War. Visit the underground villages to better understand the tunnels’ history, life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combats.
Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue the road to the Moc Bai border & border-cross to Cambodia. First, you check out at Vietnam’s immigration. You walk with your luggage about 30m and you find your guide with a welcome board under your name. The road between Vietnamese immigration to Cambodian immigration is about 200m. In case you are not in your good shape and do not want to walk, please report with your guide. He/she can book a motorbike to transfer you to Cambodia immigration. It’s time to apply for the visa on arrival and when all processes are cleared, transfer to Phnom Penh. Arriving in Phnom Penh after about 3h30 drive, check-in your hotel and overnight in Phnom Penh.
Breakfast at your hotel. Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and start the tour around the city, including Wat Phnom Pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in Phnom Penh to see how the believers pray. You will then visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and explore some of Phnom Penh's hidden gems: its secret alleys, less visible neighbourhoods and authentic wet markets.

Finally you will take a walk on the road next to the Mekong River to see the activities of the locals. Return to your hotel and overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 8: Phnom Penh – Fly to Siem Reap (Breakfast/Dinner)
Breakfast at your hotel, free at leisure until check-out at noon time then transfer to airport for the flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to check-in. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Siem Reap.
Breakfast at your hotel. After that, take a car on the less travelled paths to visit Angkor Wat. Let yourself be surprised by the size of the temple and you will discover how the Khmer Empire flourished between the 9th and 13th centuries, at the time of the construction of Angkor Wat. You walk in the finely carved corridors which show hundreds of fine sculptures and discover small sanctuaries still used today by the local population.
In the afternoon, you visit Artisans d’ Angkor, the Cambodian social enterprise originally created to revive the Khmer cultural heritage while helping young rural people to find work near their village. Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a true showcase of Khmer crafts for its silk fabrics and clothing, stone and wood carving, lacquer, polychrome products, silver plating and painting on silk.
In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a short drive to the group of the Rolous temple. The ruins of Roulous are among the oldest Khmer monuments in the region, dating from the reign of King Indravarman I in the 9th century. There are three key Hindu structures that remain at Roulous; Lolei, Bakong and Preah Ko, all of which were part of the ancient city of Hariharalaya. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 10: Siem Reap visits (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, take the less travelled paths. Cross the jungle passing local villages and local shops. It is a very special day as you will explore some of the most beautiful temples of the Angkor complex. You will visit the western entrance to Angkor Thom and visit: The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (in the 12th century, the entrance to the South, Temple of Bayon, unique for its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara, the royal enclosure, Phimeanakas Terrace of the elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of huge trees and gigantic vines.
Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to Banteay Srei. The particular charm of this temple resides in its compact size, the remarkable state of conservation, and the excellence of the decorative sculpture. Stop in a village producing palm sugar to discover the production. See Banteay Samre, where the sandstone rose coloured walls are decorated with sculptures and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished things of Angkor to offer. In the evening, it's time to enjoy the PHARE circus. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 11: Siem Reap – Depart (Breakfast)
Breakfast, free time until transfer to the airport for the return flight (Note: check out time is 12:00 p.m).
