Your Destination

The Montreux Vevey Riviera region is an explorers paradise, which boasts mountains for hiking and lake-side restaurants for dining. The train from Geneva to Montreux hugs Lake Geneva and offers constant views of charming towns and dramatic scenery. Indulge in a boat tour past Chillon castle, which wows all year round and has been occupied since the Bronze Age.

Vevey, where your hotel calls home, is a town renowned for its scenic terraced vineyards which produce prize-winning wines that are available locally and all over the world. Every 20 years, the Fête des Vignerons wine festival is held for millions of visitors to attend tastings, parades, live music, and more. A giant fork pokes out of the lake beside Vevey promenade and serves as a reminder of Vevey’s culinary reputation between the long years until the next festival. Another monument on the promenade is a statue of Charlie Chaplin. He called Vevey home after 1953 and the museum called Chaplin’s World pays tribute to the film actor with wax figures of himself and famous friends such as Albert Einstein.

Grand Hôtel du Lac 5*

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better blend of location, views, and comfort than the sensational Grand Hôtel du Lac 5*. With the waters of Lake Geneva lapping the shore just across the street, a short stroll from the hotel unveils a stunning panorama of the iconic Swiss Alps.

Making you feel at home are touches such as fresh flowers and cosy lounges to curl up in and if you're feeling peckish, you’ll be spoiled for choice thanks to the on-site Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant, brasserie, bar, terrace, and more. Several restaurants boast exquisite dining rooms, each with their own unique furnishings and decor. It’s not only the furnishings, but the presentation of your dishes that are works of art as well. If the outdoor heated pool isn’t hot enough for you, take a seat in the sauna or steam room, before lounging the day away in one of the relaxation rooms, where a selection of customised beauty treatments are available for purchase.
