Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1 : Arrive in Muscat
Touch down at Muscat airport and take your transfer to your hotel. Get settled for the night, ready for adventures!
Day 2 : Muscat
After breakfast, head out on a half-day city tour. Visit the Grand Mosque, enjoy the view of the Royal Opera House during a photo stop and discover the famous Muttrah Souk and Fish Market. After a stroll through the old city to magnificent Al Alam Palace, you'll head to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which offers a glimpse into the history of Oman.
Day 3 : Muscat - Al Hamra - Misfat Al Abryeen - Wadi Ghul - Jabal Shams
Today, a visit to the beautiful village of Al Hamra and its museum, Bait Al Safa, awaits. Continue to the picturesque mountain village of Misfaht Al Abreen, known for its old stone and clay houses. You can see the terraced agriculture of Wadi Ghul. A breathtaking view awaits you from the bottom of Jabal Sham to Wadi Nakhr, before you head back to the hotel.
Day 4 : Nizwa - Jabrin - Bahla - Nizwa
Welcome to Nizwa. Stroll through the bustling souk, known as one of the oldest souks in the country. This vast market is devoted to fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, but you can also try to bargain for antiques and silverware, as well as local art.
Nizwa Fort, built in the 17th century, is the next stop on the day's programme. From the highest point of the tower, enjoy a unique panoramic view of the city. A few minutes drive away, discover Jabrin Castle, one of the best preserved monuments in the country, allowing you to discover an example of architecture frozen in time.
Day 5 : Nizwa - Birkt Al Mouz - Wadi Bani Khaled - Wahiba
After breakfast, leave for the enchanting waters of the picturesque oasis resting at the foot of Jebel Akhdar in Al Birkat Mauz. Head to the top of the majestic mountain, and visit Wadi bni Habib, the amazing old village of Moutina Steps. Continue to Al Ain and al Qar to end the day in style.
Day 6: Jabal Akhdar - Ibra - Wadi Bni Khlid Wahiba - Ibra - Wahiba
Your day begins with a trip to Ibra, one of the oldest cities in Oman. Once a centre of trade, religion, education and art, the city is famous for its handicrafts and agricultural products and has a large souk displaying an array of goods. En route, stop by Wadi Bani Khaled. In the middle of the desert, an amazing natural oasis appears with crystal clear lakes, inviting you to plunge in and take a swim. Next, explore the Wahiba dunes and visit one of the Bedouin houses. Enjoy the evening with a barbecue under the incredible starry desert sky.
Day 7: Wahiba - Sur
After breakfast, take some time to enjoy the desert before heading to the town of Sur, where you will visit the Dhow Factory Museum, the Al Aiga fish village and tower, and finally, Al Hamooda. In the evening, discover the turtle reserve after dinner, where you might be lucky enough to see friendly turtles on the beach!
Day 8: Sur - Wadi Tiwi - Bima Sink Hole - Quriyat - Muscat
After a visit to the town of Sur, you will reach Wadi Tiwi, known for its banana and papaya plantations. Passing by white sandy beaches, continue to Bima Sink Hole, a giant crater filled with turquoise water. The last stop is the port of Quriyat with its lighthouse, from where you will return to your starting point, Muscat.
Day 9: Depart Muscat
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
