A setting that combines impressive images of fjords, majestic glaciers, waterfalls, crystalline lakes and snowy mountains, sprinkled with picturesque villages seemed straight out of a postcard.


Beginning in cultural capital Oslo, you will make your way to smaller charming cities such as Bergen, with its UNESCO listed waterfront. Along the way, you will witness the spectacular scenery of the country, where smooth glass-like fjords reflect the soaring mountains above.


As for accommodation, we have selected comfortable and cosy hotels in convenient locations, so you can be assured of a restful night after your day's adventures.

Your Itinerary

Day 1-2: Oslo

Day 1: Arrival in Norway

Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – a country with the most beautiful fjords on Earth. Forests and the beautiful Oslofjord surround this vibrant city. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to a hotel in the city centre. The rest of the day is at leisure - walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main Karl Johan’s street, with many shops, bars and cafes.

Day 2: Oslo

After breakfast, head out & explore the city. Discover the city of Oslo on your own or you can choose to join to an optional excursion tour for 5 hours on the bus and with a certified local guide. The tour of the city includes the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, guided tour through Vigeland Sculpture Park, entrance to the Fram museum and to the Viking Ship Museum with a local guide.

Day 3-4: Sognefjord - Flam

Day 3: Oslo - Sognefjord

After breakfast, make your way to Oslo train station around 07:00-07:15am, and start journey to discover the beautiful fjords of Norway. Early departure to Myrdal by train. Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction, located about 13 km from the village Flåm. Here you will board the famous Flåmsbana - one of the steepest trainlines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breath-taking waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord.


Arrive to Flåm, where you will have some free time to discover this beautiful village. Your journey continues by a cruise on the Sognefjord - the King of Norway and the longest fjord in Norway. The initial part of the fjord, called Aurlandsfjord, is a 17-kilometre arm of the world’s second longest fjord, the Sognefjord (204 km). It is considered to be one of the most picturesque fjords in the world.

Upon arrival in Balestrand, take a short walk from the port to the hotel and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Sognefjord

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before you have a day at leisure to explore the region on your own or you can book a Half day excursion to Fjærland (1st June – 15th September only).


Round-trip Balestrand - Fjærland including Bøyabreen, Supphellebreen and a visit to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Sail in through the beautiful Fjærland fjord with amazing views of the steep mountains, the green fjord itself and vibrant landscape. We arrive at Fjærland where the glacier meets the fjord. Here we wait for a shuttle bus which takes us to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Enjoy Ivo Caprino's panoramic film about Jostedalen Glacier and the fascinating exhibition.


The trip continues by coach to the two glaciers –Supphellebreen and Bøyabreen – before the coach takes us back to Fjærland. The full-day excursion concludes with a boat trip back to Hella/Balestrand. Coach to the glaciers and museum entrance are included in the round-trip fare. We recommend that you book this excursion when you book the tour as we cannot guarantee availability if booked upon arrival in Norway. Following your day, enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 5-7: Balestrand - Bergen

Day 5: Balestrand - Bergen

Start your day with breakfast in the hotel and enjoy free time in the morning. Late afternoon you will embark on the fast boat destined to Bergen – the world heritage city. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urban life all year around. If your time allows, explore a unique place in Bergen and book a visit to Magic Ice bar- the coolest experience in the city.

Day 6: Bergen

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel, then spend your day exploring Bergen. Enjoy the sightseeing of Bergen on your own. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the church of Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market. You can visit the Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you on the top of the Mountain Fløyen, for overall view of the city.


If you wish to explore more on your own, you could choose to buy a Bergen city card for 24hrs. You can travel for free on Light Rail and buses in Bergen and the region and visit the following attractions for free: Haakon's Hall, Rosenkrantz Tower, St Mary Church, Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Horda Museum, Fantoft Stave Church and get discount in many other attractions, shops and restaurants.

Day 7: Departure for the UK

After breakfast, you will have some time to do some last minute shopping for Viking souvenirs before you make your own way to the airport for your flight home.

Your Optional Excursions

Enjoy the lovely fjord trip to the villages between the glaciers – Balestrand and Fjærland. Along the fjord we'll pass tiny villages, waterfalls and steep mountains. We sail along the beautiful Fjærlandfjord. On arrival at Fjærland, a shuttle bus will take us to the Bøyabreen glacier and the Norwegian Glacier Museum.


At the museum, through advanced film techniques, interactive models and your own experiment with genuine glacier ice, you will learn about how glaciers shaped the fjord landscape and the interaction between man and nature.

Round trip cruise Bergen – Mostraumen 3 hours (Daily at 10:00 or 14:00)

Your Optional Excursions

Join this round-trip cruise from Bergen in spectacular fjord scenery. This fantastic tour takes you up the 27-kilometre long Osterfjord. Underway, the fjord narrows between steep mountains as we bring you safely through the powerful currents of the shallow and narrow Mostraumen strait.


We sail our bow right up to a waterfall to catch a bucket of ice-cold mountain water for you to sample before turning back and returning to Bergen through the magnificent landscape. The modern, comfortable boats have sundecks and kiosks offering refreshments, including beer and wine.

Sail from the "Dregge" pier located in the downtown of Bergen to Old Bergen along the coast with the ability to make great pictures of stunning scenery. While sailing in the Fjord of the North Sea, our guests will be able to see and enjoy an “overview” of different places of Bergen from the surface of the water such as Bergen's famous Fish Market, Bryggen (UNESCO world heritage site), Fløibanen, Fløyen Mountain, Ulriken Mountain, Rosenkrantz Tower, Håkon’s Hall, Bergenhus Fortress, Nordnes Neighbourhood, Stables of Sandvik Coast Cultural Center, Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Sanviken Neighbourhood, the Nyhavn Area and many other places from downtown to the Old Bergen and back.
